Yes, granite is going to be changed, as I won't accept anything else - it's NOT at all what I ordered and it's still at the fabricator's yard - they can fix it. The island and the fireplace are very important because they are focal points. I know that somepeople would have cared less and never even notice, but I did. As far as the fireplace, I have recalled more conversational details. initially, I wanted a pre-made mantel, brought the spec's to the house, and the foreman told us it wouldn't work, unless we built a raised hearth (that I didn't want). I TOLD him at that point "it looked high" and questioned him if it was the same as the model - he ASSURED me it was. I then scraped the mantel - which now, I understand WHY it wouldn't work! He should have worked on making that mantel work - because if he did, we would have had to lower that firebox MONTHS ago! Yesterday I had to go to the house and drop off an item. He (the foreman) was there ripping out the bricks. He turned his back on us and never acknowledged us there! He is making me annoyed - and I KNOW for a fact that he (once again - as we caught him) is lying. I am sure he is blaming us 100% - but at this point, I don't care! I am paying enough for this house and this is important! The stairs - the treads are 10" deep, and the risers I didn't measure, but they aren't high, and step very much like a normal step. These stairs are in the back of our home, and I am not going to make this another area of conflict as it's not that important. Only we (our family) will really see these stairs and we already planned to add the wood treads ourselves at some point. Anyway, I am VERY happy about the fireplace - as looking at the photo's above - it does look strange!

Once I ordered they immediately let me know the faucet I had chosen was on back order and would I like to choose another. I said no thank you and they were going to credit my card back. The next day they called back to say a new shipment of the same faucet I wanted was due in the next day and they would make sure I received the first one off the truck (to my house within a week) if I still wanted it AND offered me an addition 5% off. They also have this really cool "live chat" feature that you can talk to a representative one on one about the product you are interested in. Now, I say all of this and have not received my faucet (not due until next Tuesday). I will follow up once Tuesday gets here.

I have owned the Waterstone Annapolis Gantry faucet for 3 & 1/2 years. I am on my fourth faucet due to warranty claims (usually the pull down hose, but at times with multiple leaks at the connections, in ADDITION to the hose). Upon the second claim for the exact same reason, the service rep started acting liked I was doing something wrong, or was misusing the faucet. I think the only thing that kept him from accusing me of being a crazy old lady is that I am a successful professional in my early 40s and live in one of the most affluent ares of our very large city. Unfortunately, I now need to make another warranty claim ( the current faucet lasted 24 months - a miracle, hurrah!) and am actually afraid to call them! That should not be the case. The polished nickel finish has flaked off the handle and you can actually see the brass underneath AND the hose is spraying and leaking from everywhere again. Watermark may have some great faucets but, although the Annapolis fixed gantry is beautiful, I do not recommend it to anyone who cooks/uses it on a daily basis. I think there are no negative reviews online because, due to the price point, most purchasers are not the type to be cooking and cleaning for a family of four every day.

Hi summery. Well, six years of daily use and no drips or malfunctions of any kind suggest that it will last. (I hope.) So far, so good. My small kitchen is gently contemporary and it's positioned in the middle of open-concept LR, DR, and FR. The ceilings are 14 feet and the south side of the house is basically all windows. The walls are full of eclectic art. The Karbon seems to fit in comfortably with our well-worn mostly contemporary furniture and textiles, a few antiques, tons of plants, and many musical instruments. I can see the Karbon from every room on this level except the bathroom. :) I'd show you a pic but my DH has asked us not to post photos.
