Our island is 69"W x 42"D, our table is 8'W x 40"D.

We are ordering the visual comfort (circa lighting) yoke (unsure of size) pendants for over the island and the visual comfort (circa lighting) small cornice lanterns for over the table.

Our original plan was to put two of the 17" yoke pendants over the island and three lanterns over a 10' table. But after taking some measurements at the house we realized that we can only fit an 8' table in our space.

We drew out the table and island dimensions in sidewalk chalk and mocked up the lantern size and I think I've just been looking at the possibilities too long.

My husband thinks that the two smaller (11") pendants and the two lanterns is the best combination. I'm worried about going too small or not installing enough light. But I don't want the pendants to be too big for the island or for the table to look too crowded.
