What are the tasks that you most love to do in the garden? Your transformed garden will accentuate the things you love to do and try to diminish the tasks you don't like so much. You may have to get creative about how you keep your favorite activities in the picture. Will you need to upgrade paths or stairs? Handrails or gripping posts in strategic locations? A graded slope instead of steps? What can / can't be changed to improve your ability to use the garden in the ways you most enjoy? The benefits of gardening are still out there--lowered blood pressure, exercise, keeping the spirit-mind-body thing whole. And we will go to amazing lengths to do the things we enjoy. If you love planting thingsÂevery yearÂbut you can see that getting down on your knees to plant a dozen flats of favorite annuals just isn't going to cut it for much longer, then think how you can satisfy that love. Raised beds, container displays, and hanging baskets come to mind. Also, you might upgrade to a spacious potting table, at just the right height, with all your tools conveniently to hand Here's a funny one for you. I love to sweep. Yeah, the blind gal likes the rhythmic methodical corraling of debris off the patios in back. Because I'm blind, and because I've always hated loud motors, I don't really want anything to do with motorized blowers. They turn me instantly into Helen Keller, blind and deaf. SoÂI don't yet need to plan a garden where someone else takes over a chore that I like to do. Create your own special space. I'm presuming that you will follow the general suggestions to think through your overall landscape design and to move toward more shrubs, small ornamental trees, and types of perennials of the reliably less demanding order. Since there is no such thing as a garden that can be put entirely on automatic pilot, this shift in design and plant material may give you plenty to do. But you may want to incorporate or accentuate an area or two that will work especially well for you. It might be a shaded meditation spot with some seating in it that is particularly kind to your body. Maybe the same area has a raised bed nearby which allows you to sit on the edge of the bed and fuss with the plants there. Or maybe you could shift from being a general plantaholic to becoming a tulip nut, or daylily crazy, or a hosta fanatic. There's something to be said for these old workhorses. They'll come up in pots, raised beds, or dirt piles in the driveway. There are endless varieties to collect and grow. If you've done your homework in converting your overall landscape to less maintenance, then you might find a focus on a particular plant a fun way to keep your passion for collection satisfied. I am of record as a fan of Grohe(thats different from Hansgrohe). I have praised their quality and dependability. We have the Grohe Rainshower Hand Shower #27085000 and are very pleased. It ios sold as a separate piece to be connected to your choice of stationary or hand held, ours is on a hand held mounting. I would like to say that we all should try to refrain from being commercial on the Garden Web forums. I would caution you before you purchase investigate the online vendor mentioned in the first response in the URL link. I have no dealings with them but have read enough negative to know to avoid them. Caveat Emptor.

On the other hand you could stay with your local dealer. If your plumber is putting these fixtures in for you, then he knows what he is getting and will take care of the returns. You can rely on his expertise to manage your installation. I have ordered on line and bought local, mostly online. My plumber doesn't care. But, if there is something that needs to be returned to the online store, plumber doesn't do it for me, I have to, and I hate the fuss. I love service and my plumber gives this to me. I will be ordering some supplies from a local shop soon, and looking forward to someone else managing the returns if there are problems. I used one online store, that was very helpful, to buy some items. The rough-in-valve had stripped threading in one of the connections that I missed seeing when I opened and inspected. Well fast forward 2.5 months, on my slow partial DIY remodel, and my plumber comes to install the rough-in and can't use it. The online store says it has a 1 month return policy. Heck! I sweet talked (genuinely) and got great service, but was instructed to contact the manufacturer for return permission. I had to supply photos of defect to the manufacturer. They where quick to reply and sent out the replacement themselves, leaving the online store out of it. Well now I have to box up the defective valve and ship back. I don't like doing this stuff. I would rather have the plumber do it. While everyone was helpful in the line of purchasing to the return process, it seems labor intensive on my end that I don't like. I think I will use my local suppliers with my next bathroom remodel :)

For the record National Builder Supply is not my store. Im a retired disabled accountant and dont work for nor am I employed by anyone. I do write a blog about DIY subjects and give NBS credit for it because Marcus Morgan, who is the owner of NBS, is a friend and in whom I trust for his business ethics. The blog clearly says that so I never try to hide anything. I also publish blogs on "DIY Chatroom.com", Hubnet, Articles.com, How-to.com and many others and I dont own them either. I buy things from NBS like anyone else most recently a Toto Washlet. Anyone who would look at my vast writings (2400+ on google alone) would see that I often mention many vendors and products that have nothing to do with NBS both here and on many other discussion groups in which I participate. When I see something that will help someone to get something quickly, or at a good price I try to pass that on no matter who the vendor is. As an example I recently wrote a blog on a carpet install special at Home Depot (which I certainly dont own) and when I redid a small bathroom 2 mouths ago I bought a great vanity and bath sink faucet from HD also and wrote about that. I diligently try to help people and pass my days and reading articles to pass my days of being confined to a chair or bed and would rather if someone is going to impune me that they at least know the truth.
