Can someone help me with my kitchen backsplash, please!

I have been going back and forth on my kitchen backsplash in my remodel for some time and need to make up my mind. I thought this would be the perfect place to get some help given that I am driving myself nuts with decisions!!!

I have a pretty small galley kitchen and am updating it with new cabs, granite, appliances, etc. One of the backsplashes that works beautifully with the granite we picked is tumbled marble in the color "seville". We really like the look of the 2x6; however, they do not have it in stock and can't get it for 4 weeks, so that is not an option. They do have 2x8, but I was concerned that this may be too long.

Does anyone have any experience/pics/advice?? Anything would be so helpful!

As a follow up to the above, here is the picture of the kitchen pre-cabinets. You can see from the wood floors where the cabs will be. This might help putting everything into perspective.

A backsplash can be done at any point. Is there some reason besides being anxious to get it done that you can't wait the 4 weeks to get what you really love? In the scheme of things... I think a 4 week wait would be worth it to get something I had my heart set on. I know how hard it is when you're dying to see the finished product.

Your Hens and chicks looks like Sempervivum 'Red Beauty'. Just in case you don't know, most Sempervivums need to be out in the cold in the winter so it doesn't make a great houseplant. A better garden plant for sure. i can't identify the so called zygo cactus from your picture. Maybe a closer shot? The third picture looks to be a sedum of some sort. These all look to be succulents, not cactus, to me. One last thing, most succulents are poisonous to cats so I don't recommend you let your cat eat any of them.

I can appreciate you wanting to keep this particular plant alive - I have plants from when my father passed away that I'm keeping alive. I think every 3-4 days of watering is too much. I water my peace lily about once a week - actually that's the schedule for all the house plants - but always check the soil first. I'm certainly no expert on peace lilies as mine hasn't bloomed since I got it but it's still green and growing, so I'm happy with it. I would cut the yellowing leaves off your plant, as close to the end as you can get.

I like large tile for backsplash and am doing the same for the same reason, I couldnt get a third slab they didn't have one. I got 24x24 and I'm paying to have a professional install as it's tricky. So far looks lovely! Sizing to space properly is critical I found out from my tiler and he was right. If you have found your perfect tile, you can make it work well. If it's just ok, then I would send it back and look at long narrow floor tiles, or 24x24 or bigger to get your look. That is just what I finished going through. Now I'm stumped on tile for my fireplace..
