Costco hansgrohe metro high arc faucet

Costco has a limited time sale on the hansgrohe metro high arc faucet. It is on sale for 149.99 from 199.99. I know Costco usually carries high quality goods. Is anyone familiar with this model and be willing to vouch for it? If it is like many other Costco products it might be made and carried just for Costco. Thanks!

Just to add a variable, I have another brand of pull down. Works fine. It has an arch and it is pointing straight down into my rear set drain, like you plan for yours. I do not like that the water drops down in this back portion of the sink, because it is so close to the backsplash and has a tendency to splash onto the back counter when I am washing things. I need more water play area. I had the handle turned to the front of the sink and that has helped a lot to prevent dripping wet hands draining water onto the counter when turning on/off the water. But I can still get a fair amount of water into the back of the faucet. It drives me crazy. It is too much maintenance for me. I obsess that water is seeping into the grout of the backsplash or where ever water can seep into. I may end up buying another faucet that is more like the "S" model you've posted, because it seems to have the spray range more forward than mine. What ever you do consider having the handle facing forward so that drippy hands drip into the sink when using the handle. I had my hot and cold connected to the faucet reversed, so that it functioned like an old fashioned top single handle faucet; swing left for hot and right for cold. Can you try some faucets out in real life using water?

I took a chance with the mixed reviews during our remodel and bought one for my kitchen and one for my mom's. we both love them. The sprayer doesn't turn off when you let go, you have to turn the water off to correct it, but that doesn't bother us at all. I know some people hate it, but I really like it. No issues with unwanted swiveling or dripping. Maybe people had installation issues? Just my 2 cents.

No. It's been almost 10 years since the remodel--the new sink is also 9" at the edges--and I definitely wouldn't want a deeper kitchen sink. I do have a laundry sink not so far away. I have a grid in half the sink, but it's only about half an inch tall. It's useful, but sometimes, I could like to have a shallower sink, or something like the reef in the Kohler...Stages? The one with the prep bowls. Fixtures aren't the place to scrimp. If you're changing a big element of quality with the inch, then maybe consider price, but in the normal scheme of things, I wouldn't guess more than a few hundred dollars difference, all else being the same. If so, unless your budget is under $10K for the whole shebang, take the difference out of the finishes, not the useful bits. Keep in mind that sinks are adaptable. If you have a reason for wanting that extra inch, go for it, because it's hard to adapt a sink deeper. OTOH, I have a couple of dishpans that fit nicely in my sink and make it easy to do traditional two bowl dishwashing. Turn one over and one has a platform which is next best to the built in reef. I also have a roll up, over the sink, dish drainer grid. When I just can't stand to lean over a tiny bit, it makes a great platform for setting dishes and pots on while I wash and rinse them. That's the big thing to keep in mind. Every inch deeper your sink is, is another inch lower you have to bend to pick up a dish. I say get the 9" sink. If you can figure out three good reasons why this is wrong and why you must have a deeper sink, then I must be wrong and you should get the 10". Good luck with your decision.

We have had it for a couple of years now. It's been great except I will say, the first one we got dripped a lot so we returned it. The second one doesn't drip, but sometimes when we activate the sprayer, it doesn't want to un-spray and go back to a normal water flow. I've had to go so far as to whack the faucet with a scrubber brush to make the sprayer disengage. If the price is good enough to you that you're willing to deal with these potential minor issues, I'd say go for it.

I have this faucet in my pantry and it works very well. I haven't had any issues with the sprayer or dripping. I would buy it again if I had to.

I bought one for the kitchen in my last house and just bought another for my remodel. It works great - we were happy with it. We're going to flip the handle to the other side so we can turn the water on with our left hands rather than right (request by DH who's the family dishwasher and is right-handed).

momx9, that is a little silicone drying mat made by OXO. I just cut out the center piece to fit around the faucet. It works really well and keeps water from running onto my wood counters. I found it at a local kitchen store, but they are on the OXO web site, too.

This model does not have a 'lock-on' spray so you must hold it down to spray. Either you want it that way or you don't. I like having a locking spray mode. So it was not a contender for me.

I looked at it also, many times, as the Hansgrohe faucets I was planning were so similar. In the end, I decided that the loopy handle was busier than the simple stick handle I wanted, and I couldn't compromise to the brushed finish despite the huge Costco price savings. I really wanted polished chrome. I have, however, heard nothing but positives from those who have purchased the Costco version. If it meets your criteria, go for it!

Mine allowed the spray to lock, although I remember it being not intuitive.
