Where can you buy a trash can to fit a cabinet pull out?

I am having the hardest time finding a big enough trash can that can fit in my cabinet pullout. Max dimensions of the can can be 18.75" high, 21" deep (long), and from 12.75" wide on the bottom to 15" wide up top.

I wish I had a picture, but the setup in the base cabinet is like a door front mounted on the bottom to a drawer, with the slides mounted on the bottom of the base cabinet walls. So the trash bin would just sit on the bottom of this drawer.

Do you need such a big trash bin? Do you have room for 2 smaller ones, for trash and recycle?

I have a knob (I think it is 1.25") on the 18" pull out trash cabinet and it has worked fine for 2 years. I have bin pulls on the drawers in the kitchen, but I was not sure how it would look on the trash, which I thought looked more like a cabinet door. So, we went with the knob and it works fine. However, since I finished my kitchen there was another post about this and many people showed pictures of bin pulls on the pull out trash mixed with knobs on the lower cab doors and it looked just fine. So, either way will work.

After having a trash compactor for the last 30 or more years, we are now back to trash cans in the new remodel. It would have been nice to have a pull-out, but our space is limited so we don't. The cans are under the sink and so far that is working OK. One of the things I made a conscious decision about was to not use plastic trash can liners. Do you really need them? Our garbage goes in either the compost bin, we have a stainless dog food bowl to collect garbage waiting to go out, or the garbage disposal. Trash goes in one can and recyclables in another. I make an effort to put wet stuff, especially meat trays, in the middle of the can. We did have drippy stuff from a bean can down the side of the recycle can recently, but I just emptied the can, took it to the outside hose and rinsed it out. It sat outside for a couple of hours until it dried. So far this is working for me. No smell, no mess, no plastic. I also take my own bags shopping, but still collect enough incidental plastic bags to deal with cleaning the cat litter box. I guess if this became yukky I would use the compostable plastic liners, but I really don't want to, and so far so good. I have to mention that I live in a climate where running out to the outside trash whenever I want to is rarely a problem.

I just checked the outside top measurement of my Rev-a-shelf pull-out can. It's 14 x 10.25 x 18" tall. I built a shelf above it for a pull-out wire basket, which holds boxes of foil and plastic wrap. I don't empty it often, but the rule is that we don't put anything really wet, smelly, or nasty in that can (no lid). The nasty stuff goes directly into a covered metal can just outside the kitchen door, in the mudroom. Here's one that might work. (Geez, Amazon needs to hire a proof reader!!) Usually the cans are front and back, rather than side-by-side, since the cabinet is deeper than it is wide (or about the same). Your pull-out probably has actual slots for the cans, in which case they should come with the cabinet. If it's just an open drawer, you may have a hard time keeping them secure in there at an approximate size, but it will have to match the interior width of the drawer not the size of the cabinet door, so you may be looking for 25" or 24" cans anyway.

Isn't 13 gal the standard kitchen bag size? That's what I use, and my trash can measures about 10 x 14 on top and 17" high. My garbage bin came with the pull out, and the pullout works like you say - there is a shallow base that holds the bin, as well as metal bars halfway up to keep the bin steady. I have empty space behind mine where I keep the garbage bags, among other things. I think it might be rev-a-shelf, that's what I think my cabmaker uses. But I don't think a 13 gal bag will go in anything much bigger, not 20" deep anyway. Are you thinking of the 30 gal trash bags?

Sorry to sound obvious, but what about Rubbermaid? My cabinet pull-out fits the Rubbermaid Commercial wastebasket perfectly. It's the Rubbermaid Commercial Wastebasket #2957, 41-1/4 quart (10.25 gallon). It comes in beige, gray or black. Indestructible, and everything cleans off of it.

Try The Container Store online and quickdrawers.com.
If you don't see what you want on quick drawers, ask to speak with the owner, Keith Barker. He's super helpful and can probably point you in the right direction as some of his pull outs are quite large and come with trash containers.

Perhaps storage containers. They are available in many sizes and quality. I have a pet food storage that is the size you need. Check these too. All have tops that can be removed.

Much as Ginny20 says above - I find that the 13 gallon bags work perfectly in my 36 quart can. It gives you enough "ease" to tuck the top of the bag around the rim of the can, plus a little room to cram in extra goodies on the way to the curb. My can is by RevAShelf which my cabinetmaker provided with my trash/recycling pullout. Sounds like yours is similar. If your goal is to accommodate the 13 gallon bags I think the 35 or 36 quart (9 gallon) can is what you should be looking at.

Actually, on RevAShelf, you can just buy containers, and they do have the 50 quart (13 gallon). I'm looking to do a double trash pullout with the 50 quart size, so noticed this page in my search...hope it helps!
