very tall faucet AND pendant over sink?

I was all set to get a Moen Lancaster faucet, very simple and clean, to go with my 33" soapstone farmhouse sink. Then I saw littlesmokie's post about the Waterstone Gantry Faucet and got a big crush. It is waaaay more expensive than the Moen but what a faucet, and it really fits the overall aesthetic of the room perfectly.

Potential problem: Why does this dream faucet have to be so darn huge?!? I had planned on a pendant over the sink, in fact have already purchased it. Our ceilings are tall, a smidge over 9', so that's good, but will a pendant hanging down 18-20" and then a faucet rising up almost 33" (so about 19" between the top of the faucet and the bottom of the pendant) just be too much?

I love the pendant too and don't want to give it up, especially having already purchased. I like the Moen well enough, and I'm sure it will be fine, but now, well, it just seems a little meh.

Thanks!

Here is a link that might be useful: gantry i love but will probably get hook spout model to save $$$
