URGENT: Tile floor going in, baseboard issues ...

Our floor tile installation starts today, and DH and I decided late last night not to use the extra cherry toe-kick material that had been provided by our cabinet vendor for use as "baseboard" where tile meets wall. This material is .75 inches thick throughout and has no curves in profile--not graceful looking at all (DH says "clunky").

Here are our remaining options as we see them:

1. No baseboard: This would be difficult because the walls were not finished perfectly at floor level in anticipation of them being covered by baseboard.

2. A more delicate and graceful wood baseboard stained to match window and door jambs, which have been stained medium red-brown to match the cherry cabinets, although in a different wood with a different grain.

3. Surface bullnose trim tile matching our terracotta floor tile. This might cause a delay in finishing the remodel; we don't know how long it will take to get the trim tile.

Whatever trim we choose will appear only in the entry and sunroom portions of our kitchen; the working core portion has no visible walls going to the floor, and the cabinets have been finished with toe kick.

We are leaning toward #3 option because we like the idea of only two colors/materials at floor level--terracotta tile and peach wall--rather than adding a strip of a third color/material--cherry wood. Also, the porcelain surface bullnose would make washing the floor easier. Our main concern is that it will look too "bathroomy".
