Experience with MR Direct for kitchen sink?

Does anyone have a sink from MR Direct? The quality and price look great online but does anyone have any true life experience with these sinks? Thanks in advance!

Have had ours for about a year, and it still looks new!

I needed a double SS sink with a center drain, and that was the only place I could find. Everthing out there was an off-center drain. Of course, they have those, if you want them.

We bought a Mr. Direct double sink after discovering that a competitor's was not symmetric and that the grates, which were, did not fit right. The Mr. Direct sink is fine. Also unlike the other, the part between the sinks has a brushed finish like the rest of the sink, rather than a polished finish.

The OP must have chosen her sink by now. @Kari Nielsen -if you want a Franke sink made in Switzerland, all you have to do is look at the prices of Franke sinks to find the ones made in Switzerland. Franke sinks in the $300-600 range are not made in Switzerland. Franke sinks that are $1200+ are. " I am hesitant to buy Chinese as I’ve heard the SS doesn’t hold up." Not hold up in what way? Explain what you mean by that. It's stainless steel. Make sure to buy 16 gauge, not 18 gauge so you will have low likelihood of denting, and the thicker 16 gauge is quieter. Don't listen to the rust stories - stainless steel doesn't rust. Also, all stainless steel sinks scratch - whether you pay $300 or $3000.

Our company stocks and sells Mr. Direct sinks. We love the sinks, great quality for a great price. However, I ordered a faucet (the first one we've ever ordered) for my personal home. When I got it, I was extremely dissatisfied. The grain of the brushed finish went in several different directions, there was burn marks in some areas, and the overall quality was unacceptable. Being a supplier for them, I dont like saying things like this, but that was MY experience. They do have an excellent return policy and we have never had toruble returnign anything. I decided to just go to Home Depot and get a faucet there. This issue I had was a year and half ago, so it is very likely things have changed. If you order a faucet and are unhappy with it, I find it highly unlikey you will run into any trouble exchanging or returning it.

We did a master bath with Danze a number of years ago. All of the finishes have failed and all of the cartridges and parts have corroded. They take WEEKS to deal with warranty. YOU have to mail the parts back at your expense after weeks of waiting for the claim papers. Contrast this to my experience with Moen, Delta and Kohler. Call them, they send the part. Sometimes you get it in a day or two. Most times within a week. And both Delta and Moen sent completely new faucets without any problem at all. Keep all of your receipts. And even if it's been many years, that is the service you will get.

I bought two sinks from MR Direct this past fall. I've been using them both since December, and they're great! I bought the heavier gauge steel for both. Here's what I bought: 1815-16 Stainless Steel Bar Sink 509R-16 Offset Stainless Steel Sink I'll admit I was skeptical because they were priced so far under what I budgeted -- especially the offset sink. But that sink is hard to find in that configuration (my frying pan and half sheet pans can lie down completely flat in it!), so my choices were kind of limited. I'm really happy with them, and the service from MR Direct was great. I used their "Chat with an agent" feature and was impressed. I had no idea about the Polaris connection...interesting! It wouldn't surprise me at all. Good luck!

I got a large single bowl sink and a smaller prep sink - they will be installed next week. Quality looks good so far - be sure to inspect EVERYTHING you ordered - sink, drain, grate, etc. Inspect even if you won't be installing it for awhile. My sink drain was bent slightly and they replaced it. I can't wait to have a sink again!

Our MR Direct prep sink is holding up really well too. As good as our Ticor main sink. I would buy a sink from them again. It was a good experience all around and I am happy.

I bought a large single-bowl sink from MR Direct a few months ago for my kitchen remodel. The price was right, delivery was on time, and I've had no problems with it. I like the grid that came with it - it's the first time I've had a grid in the sink, and I like how it protects the bottom from scratches.
