Anyone know who makes Mr Direct faucets?

We're looking at a bar faucet that's featured on the Mr Direct Sinks and Faucets website. There's no mention of the brand, although there is a ''lifetime warranty''...

I'd just as soon not invest in an off-shore hunk of junk. Does anyone know who makes their stuff?

And while we're on the subject, at what point is a faucet designated 'bar/prep', as opposed to 'kitchen'? We had been looking at one from Delta that's a little over 9'' tall, when we found this one, which is 15'' tall. There is cabinetry above with an 18'' backsplash. The sink will be small and undermounted. Is there a standard here?

Can't answer your Q about who makes the MRDirect faucets.

The dif between bar & kitchen faucets is usually one of overall scale. Be attentive to the spout reach--at what point the water stream hits the sink bowl. Usually, the spout length excludes the use of a 'kitchen' faucet in a bar sink but YMMV when it comes to a lgr. scaled prep sink. Size matters.

Another thing to look for w/ a bar faucet is whether or not the spout will swing. Sometimes the spout is fixed in place (won't swing). Reason for that is to prevent a flowing faucet from getting swung past a small sink & flooding the counter.

Call them and ask for either Mark or Ryan - they should be able to tell you
the answer to your question on origins...

I have been working with MR Direct since 2007 and they have been really good to deal with.

MANY Fabricators like me trust and depend on them for great service, quality and
competitive prices - really good guys from my point of view as a Fabricator...

Very dependable and quality is first class - never a problem

Grohe 21027000 is a bath faucet. I'm not aware that there is a kitchen version, but you can research using that number.

No manufactured line does that. They make everything but the drawer boxes usually. No true custom cabinet maker orders parts. They build all of their own in house. The manufacturers that do own different door plants from the box plants, are not at all the same level of quality. If a parts and pieces cabinet guy orders? It is not anything finished. That would be a guaranteed color mismatch. If they are an assemble a kit cabinet guy, instead of custom, they might order unfinished doors, instead of making them in shop. But Conestoga isn’t on the list. They are too high for what you get. Conestoga is for experienced DIYers who want higher end quality while paying midgrade quality prices. That means that you’d pay 55K for your house’s cabinets instead of 90K.

Our company stocks and sells Mr. Direct sinks. We love the sinks, great quality for a great price.

However, I ordered a faucet (the first one we've ever ordered) for my personal home. When I got it, I was extremely dissatisfied. The grain of the brushed finish went in several different directions, there was burn marks in some areas, and the overall quality was unacceptable.

Being a supplier for them, I dont like saying things like this, but that was MY experience.

They do have an excellent return policy and we have never had toruble returnign anything. I decided to just go to Home Depot and get a faucet there.

This issue I had was a year and half ago, so it is very likely things have changed. If you order a faucet and are unhappy with it, I find it highly unlikey you will run into any trouble exchanging or returning it.

Don't they make them inhouse like the sinks? I have a sink from them, and I am very happy with it.
