relocating stove - roof vent location advice...

Our home is a 1976 rambler. We are moving our stove from one wall to another. The 600 CFM hood's 8" duct work will go up through the roof and have a low profile backdraft preventer roof vent. Question - the double wall furnace flue comes through the roof near the location of the new stove vent (it sticks up about 3 feet above the roof). Is there some clearance I need to maintain between the stove vent termination and the furnace flue? Right now we were planning to have it 24" away - there is room to move it further by just lengthening the duct run. I was just wondering if the carbon monoxide gasses that exit the furnace flue could get back into the house through the hood's duct vent if it is too close.

Thanks in advance for any advice! Diane
