You have a great space with which to work!! I think the layout is really nice, but there are a couple things that would concern me if it was my bathroom. 1. With a space this size, there is no reason to have the door block the linen closet. I also woulnd't want the toilet so visible or to have the entry to it compete with the main bath entry. 2. There seems to be a lack of vanity space. And, it's nice to for a women to have a place to sit ;>D 3. There is room for a walk-in shower, if you want it. That would be my preference. I played around some with the assumption that your tub cannot move. Can it? It would be nice to have that as a focal point when you enter. You really want to keep in mind the view from every angle, including from your bed. Where will your bed be? I have a few more ideas, but I guess I really need to know what has to stay where. I'm not sure which entry door you are talking about when you say "the challenge is leaving the entry door where it is". Are you talking about the bedroom door or the bathroom door? Ignore the "deck." It's faster to use that feature than to drag cabinets into the plan. Sorry, too, about the colors. The kids like to help, LOL! This is the idea I was thinking of when I added that arch. Our hall bath is laid out similar to yours and we have a tiled shower with a low curb and a curtain. It works very well. Since 5 feet wide is more than you need for a shower, the end opposite the fixtures is a tiled shower seat, and the shower faucet has a hose. You can sit on the shower seat and wash your feet, shave your legs, etc., and then rinse off. The tile makes the seat a little cool to sit on, but it looks better than a drop down shower seat made out of plastic or teak. We have towel storage in a cabinet above the commode, and a medicine cabinet recessed in the wall to the left of the sink. We also used a pedestal sink, which opens up the floor area and makes it look bigger. We hung an oval mirror above the sink. Bruce

I prefer sconces on the sides of the mirrors if they fit. As far as the off center sink, since you aren't changing the vanities, then just embrace it. I would do a mirror just dedicated to the sink cabinet - not all the way across to that tall cabinet. Then put some floating glass shelves or something in between. Please head the advice about the freestanding tub in the corner... they are difficult to clean around if you can't get there. And just my personal opinion... don't paint the walls white - its just too much white on white on white for my tastes... Post pictures when you are done! Good luck!

Sativa has a good idea for a high contrast design but I might be overwhelmed too much dark black. It would need the balance of lighter floors and the natural light from the windows which could make it stunning. I bought the same pebble tile at our local H H Restore to re do our tiny shower. I want bright white tile like your subway tile but hubby still wants a large format porcelain. The mix from the pebbles can work with many things. Remember when it is sealed the colors will deepen to what it looks like wet. You could use a midtone like the charcoal grout for your floor tile if you are keeping the walls lighter like a warm white, tape or grey from the pebbles. If you go with dramatic black walls, you need a lighter grey ,taupe or warm white for balance. With either color scheme choose a basic floor tile with a bit of texture to prevent falls. A rectified porcelain with touches both cool grey and warm whites and taupes would work with lots color schemes. Keep in mind you may change your style in a few years. So pick a classic with lots of options. It will be easier to change a dramatic paint color than a busy tile pattern.
