I'm stumped...please help!
Comments (12)Sorry for the big delay in getting back to everyone. We are having a snow day here and I miss my computer time when the kids are around. : ) What great ideas! Fondant, I am especially intrigued by your first post, but can't quite visualize it. If I took down the wall all the way to the fridge and removed my island (both of which are pretty easy to do) what would we do with the big space? Also, after bmore's post yesterday I went through the whole evening imagining flipping my kitchen and bfast area....way too much to add on to this remodel but I stood in my kitchen dreaming of what the space could be. Maybe fondant's idea can help me stretch into the bfast area with out moving the mechanicals? I probably could reverse the swing of the door into the outdoor living if need be. The windows in the bfast area are large and low to the floor, just 24.5" to their trim fyi. And, rhome, I would really love bar AND table seating. We are big on family mealtime at the table but would like the bar seating for snacks and projects for my girls and hangout space for others when entertaining. We are awaiting permits to begin phase 1 so I have a bit of time, since the kitchen area will be mostly a diy add-on to the contractors big work (taking down the walls, etc.). Oh, I am so happy that you all have given me a helping hand with this! It is REALLY opening up my mind to other possibilities. Sandy...See MoreBathroom decor - I'm stumped!
Comments (99)Before you pay $35 plus a gal and get it home and you not like it..why not see if BM sells the jar of sample paint in your chosen color? $4 for a sample if it is available could save you not only money but a lot of frustration and stress. We have learned to do that first. Putting the small cardboard sample chart on the wall doesn't do it for me so my very clever former Duron paint mgr. suggest we buy white poster board and buy sample or qt. size and paint that poster board the chosen color and use the paint tape to hang it on your wall where you can look at it for a few days before definately deciding if it is the right color you want to live with for a few years. That blue paint tape will not damage your wall or leave the residue that scotch tape will do. I came upon a website by accident on yesterday and although it was not on BM website, it showed a list of the most used BM paint colors and what rooms they were used in. I bookmarked it for future reference. There are other paint companies that are selling the sample paints, which is a super idea in my opinion. Less costly trial and error method!...See MoreI'm stumped! No cold water at kitchen sink.
Comments (1)That's a tough one. You've tried everything that I could suggest. May I suggest you post this on the terrylove.com plumbing forum? There are a lot of experienced plumbers who hang out there....See MoreStairwell lighting, I'm stumped, what would you put?
Comments (27)I spent the evening pondering the canned light idea and have nixed it. Both Chibimimi and Aimeekm's responses pretty much echo my thoughts because the stairwell is seen from the entry and the living room and when coming down, it would be nice to have something pretty there, so thank you. Smalloldhouse!. Thank you for the pics!. I love it and I'm surprised the larger sized one fits so perfectly! I had a room painted with a very very light apricot once. In some lighting it looked off white but in sunlight, it glowed and I love love loved it! I love the picture wall too :c)...See Moreayerg73
