Kohler Vinnata

Wondering if I could get some opinions about my choice. I'm trying to decide on the finish of my faucet. I have an oppurtunity to buy the Vinnata in the ORB finish. I have purchased the Orca sink by Franke and my granite is Persian brown. I will have ORB hardware as well as ORB metal backsplash behind my cooktop (Dacor ). The ORB faucet was purchased by a builder and the house did not move forward. The plumbing supply company will sell it to me at thier cost and the salesperson reasures me that it will be beautiful. What is your expierence. Have you seen faucets with different finishes be mixed with stainless or brushed nickle. Thank you for your help!

Don't have any feedback on the faucet, but have seen many kitchens posted here with different finishes and it looks beautiful.

I have a the Vinnata in SS with the Franke Orca sink as well (which I absolutely love - both of them) with ORB hardware.. I did not want everything to match although the faucet does match the rest of my appliances. I chose the ORB hardware b/c I liked the contrast with my antique white cabinets..

OH goodness. It looks so perfect in everyone's kitchens - and maybe it's just that it looks so huge in scale in the showroom. I had sort of been suckered into the Moen Arbor Motionsense. I liked the style a lot and the auto-on was a bu (I know the arguments for a Tapmaster but I have kids and need the water to come on all the time or be manually turned on.) But now I'm kind of wishing I was going with the Vinnata set. It just looks so... timeless and substantial, you know? They really aren't in the same ballpark. Argh.

And I had thought that hot water dispensers were expensive, now when I check with my kitchen person on the oil rubbed bronze finish, that is even more $$. I guess I will be spending the next few days searching online for a cheaper one :-)

What color are your cabinets? What finish(es) is(are) the rest of your plumbing fixtures? (Soap dispenser, air switch, air gap, etc.)

Right now, everything sounds pretty dark...almost too dark. I think I would prefer the contrast of SS or brushed nickel. Do you have any pics of your samples of cabinets + countertop + BS + hardware? Is the sink a brushed/satin SS or polished?

I seem to recall a year or two ago there was at least one thread about issues w/ORB finishes in general on often-used items (hardware, faucets, etc.)...but I don't remember the details. Perhaps someone who remembers or saved the thread(s) will chime in (or correct me if it was, for example, a particular manufacturer's finish & not ORB overall).

BTW...the salesperson probably wants to sell the faucet...I would not necessarily trust him/her...but that's true of all salespeople!
