Hi Bluepoppy, thanks for the compliments; I appreciate it. I haven't posted my "finished" pictures, because, well, I'm not finished. I have some painting left to do and want it to look beautiful when I announce it to the world. ;-) The faucet and dispenser are Kohler in polished nickel; faucet is Bancroft line. It is an unusual faucet, but worked well in our situation. This bath is a very narrow L-shape and we had just 19" for the vanity and countertop. We ordered a custom cherry vanity and granite top, and put in the smallest sink we could find. To make everything fit, I chose the single-post faucet and off-set it. It works really well -- four of us are using this bathroom now while the master is being remodeled, and we're all pleased with the faucet/sink layout. Here's a photo I had handy that shows a bit more of the room, from the hallway. The walls are a very pale sagey green. To the left of the tub is a linen closet; hopefully to be painted this weekend.

Bronze is an alloy of copper that is very hard and weathers very well and eventually becomes very dark if not polished. It is a standard exterior finish on or near the sea but too expensive and unnecessary for less corrosive environments. The technique of rubbing aged bronze with oils is to produce reddish-yellow highlights which is an artistic effect used on bronze sculpture and is often associated with sculpture from Venice. Modern Oil Rubbed Bronze finishes are considered "decorative" and are used inside houses but because of the high cost of bronze and hand rubbing they are usually simulated in at least 8 different ways. They will not darken but they will wear with human contact exposing the material below which might be anything from solid or plated brass or copper to steel. This is called a "living finish" which is modern advertising attempting to define a simulated natural finish as being natural. So, the finishes from different manufacturers will probably not match and will eventually match even less. But that's just the way of the sea!

Our first experience with a built in soap dispenser was when we installed it during a bathroom remodle. We have a small 5x7 bathroom and DW came up with the idea because the vanity has no counter space. The next year when we replaced the countertop in our kitchen we installed one there also. As far as quality and price we paid $50 for each of them. We have Moen dispenser with a Delta faucet in the bathroom. The Moen dispenser did not work from day one. Moen replaced it with no problem. It has been fine ever since. In the Kitchen we have an American standard dispenser with a Kohler faucet. The style of the American standard and the Moen were the best match for each faucet. Kohler had limited styles and the dispenser that matches the Delta was not on the market at the time that we purchased the faucet. The things to look for when purchasing soap dispenser are a long enough spout that reaches over the sink and a large soap container. If you get the Never-MT attachment a large container will not be necessary. As for price, from what I have read here the cheap $15 dispensers work just a well as the $50 ones. Thanks, folks. We looked at that one too. Maybe some additional photos will help out (when that cable gets found - we lose ours ALL the time). We too are looking at the brushed nickel finish. One of these days I gotta put up some in progress pictures. The space is opened up, rough plumbing is done and electric is in progress....
