Kohler Vinnata Owners - HELP - Soap Dispenser

Ok, so my wife and I both like the look of the Vinnata faucet for both sinks. It seems to be one of the few faucets we've found that comes in two sizes which is nice because we'd like to have matching faucets at our two sinks.

Problem - Kohler doesn't make a matching soap dispenser. What have others done for a dispenser with this faucet. My wife really prefers to have matching items (hence using the same faucet, appliances with similar handles, etc).

Pictures would be great so I can show her what others have done. I did look through the FKB, but there were not that many clear pictures of the faucet with a dispenser.

Our first thought is to go completely different so it looks as if that was the design.

The only other faucet that we both seem to like is the Danze Opulence and the PricePfister Hanover (new design). I have other issues with each of these.

Thanks in advance - maybe it'll help settle the decision.

We went with the Kohler K-1894-C, Soap/lotion dispenser with Traditional design (Clam shell packed) with the same finish (brushed nickel).

Neither are installed yet, so I cannot post a picture.

Ours is really similar to buehl's. It is installed, but my camera cord has disappeared, so I can't post pics, either. It goes very well with the Vinnata--I got both in brushed nickel.

OH goodness. It looks so perfect in everyone's kitchens - and maybe it's just that it looks so huge in scale in the showroom. I had sort of been suckered into the Moen Arbor Motionsense. I liked the style a lot and the auto-on was a bu (I know the arguments for a Tapmaster but I have kids and need the water to come on all the time or be manually turned on.) But now I'm kind of wishing I was going with the Vinnata set. It just looks so... timeless and substantial, you know? They really aren't in the same ballpark. Argh.

Do you know what finish your cabinet/drawer knobs and pulls will be? What about your lighting fixtures? I think you see a lot of people going with the brushed nickel over stainless on faucets so that they coordinate with those other elements. IMO you don't have to match your faucet to your sink or appliances. I actually tried to do that in my kitchen several years ago and ended up with a Moen stainless steel faucet that has those golden tones you described, and the shade looks a bit "off" so close to the stainless sink. Not all manufacturers' stainless is the same, so try to see them in person, if you can, before ordering.

the Never MT instructions that a kind soul here had scanned in (I apologize for copying only the instructions and not the person who posted them!) has specific instructions for Delta dispensers having a vent hole. Perhaps Kohler has changed their design to be similar? from the scanned installation instructions: 3. For Delta pumps with a vent hole, soften the clear vinyl ring in warm water and press onto the pump assembly and up to the collar to cover the vent hole. HTH

elizamamma: Measure your dispenser's escutcheon. If it is large enough to cover an elongated hole, have them return and elongate it, but make sure the moved escutcheon won't overhang the sink edge profile. I know this can be done easily, because I had to do it for the faucet in my Apron Sink Retrofit post here. I just wrote an article on how fabricators can't make any money charging $150.00 to drill a faucet hole, but it hasn't come out yet. Take care of them if it wasn't their fault, please.

Thanks, folks. We looked at that one too.

Maybe some additional photos will help out (when that cable gets found - we lose ours ALL the time).

We too are looking at the brushed nickel finish.

One of these days I gotta put up some in progress pictures. The space is opened up, rough plumbing is done and electric is in progress....

Well, I still haven't found the camera cord, but I went through a bunch of pics I already had and found this one. It's kind of dark, but it has a pretty good view of the soap dispenser at my prep sink. This is with the smaller Kohler Vinnata faucet.

This pic also has a pretty good shot of the pterodactyl in my soapstone. :)

I don't have a closer shot but here's ours. Kohler model #9619 in Brazen Bronze to match.

Thanks, all. I think the pics helped convince her. We'll be ordering the traditional dispenser to go with the faucets.

Now I just wonder about the finished - either the Stainless or the Brushed Nickel. Gotta figure out if someone has them to see. I hate ordering from a picture on the internet.

I'm off to check pricing....
