Caligirl, that's one of my fears - that it will look massive. I agree that everyone's look great in their photos. I've also seen it at a store now too and it looked beautiful. But I keep imagining that for some reason it will look wrong in our kitchen ... mind you this feeling isn't just reserved for the faucet, I think I'm just worried that everything will look wrong for one reason or another! I think I'm just generally freaking out. Thanks for the recommendation of faucetdirect. I'm considering buying from them. Hope your faucet looks great once you install it. Would love to see pics too. Buehl, thanks again. So many little bits and pieces to decide on and order! I think we are going to order the Vinnata. I think we will go for the big one ... or maybe we'll get both, see how they look and send one back. Now we have to agree on the finish - I want the brushed nickel; DH wants chrome. I think he just likes the way the chrome sparkles in the store. I've tried to explain to him that it won't sparkle like that for long in our home, given that we'll actually be using it. He imagines that we'll keep polishing it ... or perhaps more accurately he imagines that I'll keep polishing it. I can count on my kitty's fingers the number of times he has polished our current chrome faucet :)

We also have both faucets, but I don't have a pic of them side-by-side. The most noticeable difference between the two faucets is in the reach. I believe the drain in the Elkay D-bowl sink is toward the back, so the shorter reach of the secondary faucet may not pose a problem for you. I will add that, when my Vinnatas first arrived, I thought they were both enormous, but shortly after they were installed, they seemed just the right size. My prep sink is only 13x16, and the smaller Kohler doesn't overwhelm it.

I have both the primary and secondary vinnata's on order, so I can't speak from experience, but based on what I have seen I think the secondary will be big enough. If you put in the primary, you run the risk of it overwhelming the space and feeling like it's too close to the edge of the countertop. Also, do you know the measurement from the faucet hole to that small sink hole on the right side? The primary Vinnata might extend over that smaller hole. A couple of people have posted pictures of their Vinnata's that show how the spray heads tilt out to reach the corners of the sink.
