Looks like you have 8' of space for your cleanup wall. I would do it this way:

DW on the side of the sink closest to the door. Then sink, then a lazy susan, then a small trash, tray or spices pullout, then your stove.

What is that thing directly across from your stove and fridge? Is there a window above there? That looks like it should be counter and storage space. If you can move plumbing, I would suggest moving the refrigerator to that side of the room, then base and upper cabs for a MW/landing space. This would also give you an opportunity to add about 3' of work space and storage on the other side of the range.

In such a small space, it might not cost that much to have a plumber add a connection, especially if that's an exterior wall. Might be worth getting an estimate for that part of the job, even if the rest is DIY.

On the left wall is a butcher block prep table under a window.

Can you post a plan showing all adjacent rooms?

If you're going to lose the door the on the left would you be willing to create an L shape layout with cabs running along that wall to where the butcher block is? You could also then consider a U shape leaving the stove/gas line as is and add a deeper pantry to match the width of the frig. You'd minimize gas/water line reconfiguration (not that is a huge deal), add storage, and have several options regarding a DW

There isn't a good way to know about plumbing costs. They can range so much from one plumber to another, from one house to another and from area of the country to another.

But this is why I think you should consider it.

I like bmorepanic's design -- much more efficient work triangle than what you have now. Question: are you on a slab or a raised foundation? If you are on a raised foundation, you shouldn't have much trouble at all to move the water for the ice in the fridge to the other side of the room. Also, do the stairs at the back of your house lead to another entrance? If not, I don't see more than one entrance/exit, and closing off the kitchen door might not be up to fire codes. Another suggestion for a tiny kitchen -- consider a large single basin sink instead of a double basin -- esp. if you are putting in a d/w. You can make the sink base smaller and add more storage cabs on either side.

You should check whether you can really get rid of the door on the left. In MA, we need two doors out of the house, by code. If you need to keep it, but don't use it, then putting the DW next to it makes sense. Then you can wrap around to the stove on the other side. And unless you're really set on ice from the fridge, I would move it where bmorepanic has it.

bmorepanic - I agree I really like that design too. The stairs go down to a walk out basement with 2 doors to the outside, one at the foot of the stairs outside the kitchen door. Directly underneath the kitchen is the laundry area so supply water wouldn't be hard to get I don't know about draining for the sink. I love the cabinet on the end wall, it would bring an amazing amount of storage into the kitchen (something it desperately lacks).
We aren't set on ice for the fridge, we rarely use it but I think it would be simple to replumb, that part of the basement has unfinished ceilings so the pipes are just sitting there. The bottom wall of the dining room is the wall the water supply comes in on.
