Pictures of Super White Granite and White/Cream Cabinets?
Comments (5)I love Super White too. I have a sample somewhere in the basement. sparklekitty put Super White on her white island. In progress: http://ths.gardenweb.com/forums/load/kitchbath/msg062209107419.html Another in progress post: http://ths.gardenweb.com/forums/load/kitchbath/msg1211561831757.html However, not that she put it only on her island and not on her perimeters where she would have had to deal with white uppers and find a backsplash to harmonize. At that point, I think you might have a problem with the kitchen seeming kind of cold, or the white seeming too stark... maybe. That is just my humble opinion tho, maybe you will think it is beautiful!...See MoreLevel 1 granites that go well with cream cabinets?
Comments (5)I think taking a cabinet door down to the vendor and asking to see level one granites would provide a great way to see granites that we are not familiar with and ones that would work with your cabinets. I fell in love with St. Cecilia Rio before I knew what color my cabinets would be, but I think it would look great with just about any color. I was super pleased to learn it was a level one granite and this is the first time in my life my taste had led me to choose a reasonably priced item. Have fun choosing a piece of the earth for your home....See MorePaint cabinets white/cream, will it look nice with the bianco granite
Comments (17)Oh my so many suggestions, thanks everyone!! So I agree with the consensus not to paint the cabinets and work on the surroundings. @blfenton and ellendi6161… Sorry for posting in both forums, I thought this forum was a little quiet, but I guess not!!. @lisa_a….I love the Bianco Romano too, was just lucky that it came with the house. The blue backsplash will definitely highlight the countertops. @Amber…I didn’t even notice the hardware, but yes, I agree will look for something. That will be a cheaper upgrade then painting the cabinets. The bar stools I have currently are similar to these. I am planning to use these if they are the right height. I don’t think I want completely white kitchen. @Carrie B….I might look into blue shades, not sure if they are removable, will check. My current décor is a warm mix of orange, browns, red and teal. I have a brown leather sofa, red rug, lampshades, teal curtains etc…All of this is going into our basement. For the new plan, I was thinking pastel walls, cream/baby blue/yellow sofa/sectional with pastel accessories. A natural colored rug/runner. Something like this:...See MorePaint cabinets white/cream, will it look nice with granite hardwood?
Comments (45)The last two photos Nosoccermom posted above kind of illustrate why mid tone colors are better with darker wood. If you go with something light, the brown will just pop out. Better to include some lovely artwork or dishware that you want to pop instead. You can get away with using yellow and blue, just not really light yellow and blue. Also, I think the island painted a muted greyish blue would look cool, like those bottom two photos. I got this photo yesterday from the SW Michigan Land Conservancy of one of their refuges, which reminded me of your cabinets! It kinda shows how if you mix dark brown with other similar color tones, it doesn't pop out as much. So the dark colored tree line blends with all the other colors. I does have a tinge of lavender and blue. Not saying I would pick this exact color palette, it's just an example of how you can make brown pop out less....See Moreboxerpups
