Carrara marble backsplash with blue pearl?
Comments (7)I have to agree with lascatx, the combination with the oak cabinets may not work. When you get samples of the marble backsplash tiles, also get some other samples that call to you while you're at the tile store. Choosing tile is often a matter of bringing home different samples and seeing what works best in your space. Once you get the samples post again with pictures. Have fun. This was definitely a fun part of my remodel. It means you are so close to the end!...See MoreBlue pearl counter & ? backsplash
Comments (4)I have white cabs with blue pearl. We did white tile with diamonds of blue pearl in between to tie it together. I wanted a backsplash that was shiny and smooth (i.e., easy to clean with just the dishrag). It's been about 3 years and I still love it! Here's a closeup. I will post a full picture next....See MoreIsland paint color with blue pearl counter?
Comments (3)I think it depends on what kind of feel you want for your kitchen. The white cabinets will bring freshness and a light grey island would go along with that feeling. A dark gray, especially a warm dark gray, would bring richness. Although it's difficult to tell from your pictures, it looks like you have a small island relative to the number of wall and base cabinets. If you go dark, the island might look out of place. Painting the island white or light gray might make your kitchen appear larger and more cohesive. If you can, post pictures of your cabinet/counter/paint swatches and it might be easier to help you decide. Good luck with your project....See Moreneed a backsplash for laborite blue/green counter top in kitchen
Comments (21)I LOVE your counters - I considered a Blue Australe which seems similar to laboradite, but it was almost twice the price, at the time, of what I ended up choosing, Volga Blue. (very hard capturing either of these stones in a picture, isn't it) So I understand your challenge, I spent a long time puzzled over a backsplash for my counters. I went with the Seneca Tile company's Blue Lagoon from the Studio line. My counter reads black and hints of silver at first glance, the blue inclusions are subtle until you are trying to look for them, so it doesn't read too busy in real life. In the same line, they have a gorgeous variegated green called Waterlily, it might work in your kitchen Seneca waterlily- here's some more inspiration, some of these blue/ green mixes that may work- from http://senecatiles.com/senecablends-gallery/nggallery/page/1 Here's a work in progress shot of our Blue Lagoon backsplash going up- I have no regrets going bold and colorful, I feel happy every time I look at it...See Moresunsoleil
