Here's the saga: Original MW was 1/16" too big for cabinet (not KD's fault), so I went and picked out a 2" smaller version of the same MW. My KD/cab co want to remove a tiny strip of molding (probably 1/16"), which should make the original MW fit. In the meantime, I've decided that I want to keep the smaller MW (1.6 CF); the big one (2.2 CF) just feels too big for a small family. KD insists that adding a frame around smaller MW will look ugly, patchwork, piecemeal, etc. She planned the cab around the big MW fitting perfectly. However, I don't think I'm as worried about the MW fitting perfectly as I am about using an appliance that suits my family's needs.

Would you:

(a) listen to KD and use big MW;

(b) frame around small MW even though it'll look piecemeal;

(c) use small MW without any additional framing? (would this be a dust collector?)

Here's the visual aid (small MW, no framing):

I promise this will be my last indecisive post. I've gotten fairly disillusioned with my KD. She'll be here this afternoon for the last time, and this is my last issue (I hope).
