Another person who needs granite color help! (lots of pics)

Hubs and I drove an hour to go to three granite suppliers for our fabricator, and we still haven't picked a granite! I posted earlier about needing light counters because our floors and cabinets are fairly dark:

(excuse unswept floors-- they'd just been installed)

I really like the idea of quarts (maintenance-free, consistent light color, stain resistant, etc.), but unfortunately the cost on those here runs quite a bit higher than a lower-end granite. We've got approx. 60 sq. ft. of counter space, including a fairly large peninsula that will make the biggest visual impact.

After looking and looking at all the light-colored granites in our price range, one slab in particular caught my eye from across the room. We went to get a closer look, and both the hubs and I completely fell in love with this slab called "Coast Green." Yep, green.

It looked sort of creamy from a distance...

But as we got closer...

Definitely green.

With a flash:

I just don't know how green-- no matter how subtle-- will look in our kitchen! Appliances are stainless and we haven't picked a wall color. We loved that slab, but is it the right choice from a design standpoint? How about a resale standpoint? We're looking to sell in about 4 years. The right "unique" granite can really be a seller if it appeals to everyone, but I don't know if this does! Here are some of the other, more typical, contenders:

Giallo Ornamental:

Bianco Romano:

Millennium Cream (this is probably my runner-up if I can find another slab or work around the 'ink stain' thing):

But I just keep going back to this... sigh.

I think I just need someone to push us back to reality and say it's much better to go with one of the "safer" choices. It will be less of a headache when it comes to picking a paint color, and probably better for resale. If the green is out, then what should we choose??
