Custom Butcher Block in Phily/ Bucks Co Area? Mixing counters.

We are planning a very long island (12ft). As our slab of granite won't be long enough for the whole island and we would prefer not to have a seam, we are thinking of adding a piece of end grain, dark butcher block to the end of the island. DH loves the look and I think it could be a cool feature.

We would probably be looking for a piece approx 26" by 38" and want the butcher block to be the same thickness as the granite (approx 2.5").

I think we will need a custom piece to be made and would love to find someone local to do it.... perhaps someone who can advise us on installation as I'm not sure how this install works (getting a good, tight seam between the stone and the wood).

Any recommendations/ thoughts?
