Can one brush labradorite australe blue?

Hello folks - did my kitchen in 2004 (!), finally finishing up the last bathroom, found a remnant of my all-time favorite granite (the above-mentioned labradorite australe blue)--after I revived from my faint, I've got the cuts all planned out and we're almost ready to go.

I do have some questions, though: is it possible to brush/antique labradorite? Or not, because it's so fissure-prone? I'd love to hear from the experts here before I try to ask the fabricator. Always believe in triangulating my information sources.

Thanks!

OH--and re the remnant - if it has tiny fissure lines in it (I can feel them but they're not huge and don't go all the way through), is it still o.k. to try to cut? And what happens if it breaks when the fabricator's cutting it? He's a very good fabricator, no question there, but I do wonder who's usually liable for the $$ if it breaks...thanks again.
