For folks who have had both touch-less and touch-on kitchen faucets...
Comments (42)None of these scare stories have happened to me. I’ve had mine for almost 2 years. I leave it set on medium hot. If you need to adjust the temp, you can always at least clean your hands first, then move the lever to change temp. I pretty much only need to change it if I want cold water for coffee pot, etc, in which case my hands aren’t dirty! Ours has never turned itself on. I can’t understand why so many people who have never tried one are so negative. If you cook, you get dirty hands and it’s a great feature. It is very simple to use manually if you prefer. It turns itself off automatically after a few minutes, so no risk of it overflowing or something....See MoreTouchless or touch-on kitchen faucet

Delta's finish is fine but it's more of a pale/rose gold/bronze not a matte brass look which is what I had hoped for when we ordered it so keep that in mind. @dormelles had no idea they had to be turned on at the handle!? so confused! so what is the point of it being touchless!? the batteries I don't mind so much but having to use the handle seems to defeat the point correct!? I think I'd actually prefer the touch-on ones since those seem more reliable - I just imagine having to wave my chicken-gut covered hands all over the place hoping it turns on the way u do sometimes at public restrooms...See Moretouchless faucets
Comments (22)@CD if it was actually running, and in the "on" position, then yes it would keep running until you manually turn it to the "off" position. But if it's in the "on" position and not actually running when the power goes out, then it does not turn on by itself. You won't have any water come out until you manually turn it "off" and then use it like a manual faucet - until of course the power comes back on. And to clarify, mine doesn't have a touch feature - it's a touchless hand wave. One other thing: I did get a Delta bathroom that was either touchless or touch on/off, and I ended up returning it because it said right in the instructions that it would not work at all without power....See MoreTouchless Bathroom Faucet
Comments (5)Are you familiar with Tapmaster? We have two in our primary bathroom and two in our kitchen/coffee bar! Do a search on Houzz and you'll find lots of threads. They require no power to operate and take about an hour to install. We have both the version for floating cabinets and the euro model on our regular cabinets. I've used them for over almost 15 years in two different homes. They're great because you can install them on any faucet!...See Morejulia42
