Assuming you mean dishwasher drawers and not drawers to store dishes ;) I used 8" pulls. Not the greatest, but here's a pic:

Can't help with your second question. My widest real drawer is a mere 24" wide.

Hi Katie - we have HUGE drawers. Haha - that sounds kind of funny, doesn't it?! Both sets of drawers on either side of the range are wide - the two on the left are 42" and the two on the right are 48"! Anyway, I didn't like the look of putting 2 pulls on them, and couldn't find many styles that were long enough to seem as if they would work well. I finally just decided to go with the fairly plain European style stainless steel bar pulls. They are very heavy and substantial - more so than the photo shows. I really liked some other pulls much better, but didn't feel that they were long enough - and wasn't about to spend the huge amount of money required for most appliance pulls! Here's a photo of one above the 48" drawers (I believe this one is 25.20" long):
