Door hardware question (Baldwin)

We've decided to update the door hardware in our new house. It currently has builder-grade handles and hinges. The bathrooms mostly have polished chrome fixtures and door hardware. Everywhere else is a shiny brass that has all but worn away to the point that it looks like the same color as the bathroom hardware. Chrome/silver and modern don't really go well with our house which was built in 2002 and has a softer color scheme with browns and honey oak.

1. I don't think I mind the fact that the bathroom handles are a different color than the other handles. I just don't want them looking so similar. I decided to go with a satin nickel (Baldwin finish 150 https://www.baldwinhardware.com/world-of-baldwin/finishes) here to tie in the softer feel outside the bathrooms with the shiny chrome inside the bathrooms.

2. I think everywhere else would look OK with the matte brass + black finish (Baldwin finish 049 https://www.baldwinhardware.com/world-of-baldwin/finishes). The black kind of de-emphasizes the honey oak and the matte doesn't make it look anything like the crappy shiny brass that was there before.

3. We're going with the Curve lever in a traditional square rose for the handles in both finishes. I think that helps tie them together as well. Plus the door trim has a square with circle look at the upper corners that also ties in.

So before we go off and spend $1000+ on this upgrade, does this seem to make basic design sense? This is our first home purchase so don't want to go off the rails here.

Also, I had another question. I found a matching handleset, except the lever is a different style. Does anyone know if I can buy a half dummy lever and swap it out with the one that comes with the handleset? If not, what's the best way to do the swap?
