Oooh pretty. We have kind of those same colors in our master bedroom and bath. Hmmm, I like the greenish/blue color much better than the gold, but sounds like the gold would offer more contrast. Can you post a pic of the stone?

I LOVE these fabrics.
I lean towards the blue gray because it's softer. More classic, too. However, bits of the gold would be a nice treat for the eye.

How lucky to find three beautiful fabrics that go with your stone!

I'd love to see your stone too but, just looking at the fabrics, I'd go for the greenish blue fabric to compliment the print. I think it really makes the print stand out beautifully whereas I think the gold is a little too strong/saturated and seems to overpower the print.

Well, we've done a TON of work on the kitchen and I was waiting to do a picture post for when it's done, but here's a sneak peak of the stone. It's supposed to have more creams in it, BUT the tiles had a pink undertone and I asked they be used sparingly not realizing the contrast was really needed. As you can see, the undertone of color is the same blues that's in the fabric. From a distance, some of the backsplash looks all blue :c(

Sorry the pic doesn't show it all, the bottom row is 3 lines of mosaic in the same tile.

I think there are other things that need to be considered...what color will the room be painted? And where/for what will you be using the print and solid? Chair cushions? Curtains/shades?

I understand, thanks for the questions. Hubby just painted the walls Behr Raffia Creme which is a match to the creme back ground in the fabric. The ceiling is in the lighter tan color of the leaf at the top center of the fabric and an entry wall that can be seen from the room will be painted the lighter blue/teal color. The fabric will be used for the windows in the kitchen and dining room. Haven't decided yet on which treatment for each window but know it will be a combination of valances with a hand made roman shade or wide slat white blinds. And there are a couple of alternative stripes and solids with matching colors that I can mix with these two fabric(s) for a table runner and seat cushions.

That's a terrific print, and I like the blue green fabric with it as well. The slate backsplash is a beautiful bridge between the dark countertops and stained cabinetry.

Lovely fabrics! I also vote for the blue-gray to complement the floral.

I like the blue-gray as well. The gold is quite a strong colour and depending on how much you are using of it, the floral may get lost in it.

Thanks to everyone for your honest feedback. And thanks also for the kind compliments about the fabric choices. It was an agonizing search trying to find something that worked with the stone and sang to me as well. I guess the blue/gray is the way to go. Both solids are made by the same manufacturer and are the same colors as in the fabric. The only color available in the store is the gray/blue though and now I guess I understand why. LOL I'll post pictures as soon as they are done and up!

I like the gold solid and just wondering if the blue will pull too much orange color out of your cabinets. I also think the gold ties in with the color and intensity of the backsplash better.

I'm sorry that I missed the decision making part, but had to tell you that your new backsplash is lovely and so are your fabric choices! I'm looking forward to seeing the finished results.

Lynxe, thanks for the suggestion, the fabric is almost 30.00/per yard on sale in the store and little less online but not by much so I'd prefer to make a final choice and just go with it.

That said, I chickened out of ordering online. We have a funky post office and the shipping options made me afraid I wouldn't get the package. :c( Sadly, the copper option isn't available in the stores so circumstances pretty much decide it for me too.
