Please show me photos of your Fire and Ice Backsplashes!
Comments (10)Jodi, your kitchen is absolutely beautiful - Great Job! It's so warm and inviting. Your slide show is fantastic and helpful. I'm on the East Coast so I have to find a supplier for the back splash somewhere around here. You say you added the umber glass, the reddish and clearer ones are already integrated in the back splash, correct? Also, where did you get that grass wallpaper and what color is it. My home is older and the walls are less desirable, so that might just be a good choice for me. Also, What are your color cabinets? Thanks for taking the time to do that slide show, it helped me "gel" all the thoughts in my mind. Have a great day, Maggie...See MoreShow me your pic of bead board backsplashes, pretty please!
Comments (12)Hi Jeri, I am in the tail end of a mini remodel of my kitchen. Nothing fancy really, just counters, kept the cabs but rearranged a tiny bit, new appliances and details. Still working on the details. Lighting, molding... Looking at a modernaire hood but worried about the expense. I try to list each photo source next to the photo I post. I use magazine, web sites, blogs... Thanks for asking. Prill, I agree the beadboard and tile are really neat. It would not work in my house but I love the idea. ~boxerpups...See Moreshow me your back splash medallions - feel like sharing pics?
Comments (8)This may not be the answer you are looking for, but this is the conclusion that we came to when considering doing a medallion. We like change. A lot. So much so that committing to one design behind the cooktop felt constricting to us. Even with our calendars, we look forward to changing the page to a new picture by the end of the month because we've become tired of the old one. So my suggestion would be to do a shallow shelf where something decorative could be set up behind the cooktop. A picture, decorative tins, a beautiful platter, something that you find pretty. You have a beautiful space, and with the induction I think putting something above it would be relatively safe, as long as it is secured so it doesn't fall on your cooktop! You could even have a tiled medallion mounted and framed like a picture to hang over the cooktop that could be changed out relatively easily....See Moredo you have creama atlantico granite? show me your backsplash!
Comments (1)I would highlight the cream not the brown, and get the rustic edge with a rougher surface. This is Fireclay Tile's thin brick in Cotton. It measures 2.5"x8" and sells for $18/SF...See Moresandra12
