Creative Crown WOW! I just received that I had a comment from Houzz. It is incredible the fire storm that this page has started. I just want everyone to know that we have no ill feeling against anyone. Everyone is entitled to their say. Just tell the truth. Have you purchased our product before? So should you comment? I just want to say that we due care about everyone if you have bought from us or not. I know some of the people that have made a comment on this blog. They have purchased from us before and I thank you for their support. This all started with a bash from a customer. They were having some problems installing our moldings. They did not make any attempt to contact us for help. They could have called our toll free number or emailed us and we would have more than happy to have helped them. We would have spent as much time as they needed to assisted them. We have about 30 youtube videos about our product on anything you could ask about. I always take the time to call a company and try to get help if I have a problem with a product. We are a family own business and everyone's business is appreciated. We have the only "molded foam crown molding in America" It is a good product that is easy to install and is a high quality. It is Patent Pending. We did not mean to insult anyone with our earlier post. I hope this puts an end to all of the bickering and we use Houzz for what it was designed for. our cabinets have a crown molding on them. our great room has a different crown molding (simpler, more contemporary). the great room walls flow directly to the kitchen and i could not figure out a good end point for the crown molding from the great room. so it ends near the cabinets but a small space was left to distinguish the cabinet space of the kitchen from the rest of the kitchen. is this going to look totally weird?

I suppose it could work, but I think most people try to make the fascia diappear into either the cabinetry or the ceiling. If they want it to extend the ceiling line they paint it ceiling color and the heavier crown is usually separating the cabinets from the fascia. If they want to extend the eye up, the cabinet color goes up to the ceiling. In what you are describing it sounds like you are trying to make the fascia of visual interest, not to disappear. I think it would be difficult to pull off well and in addition to ceiling color, I think it also depends on widths of the individual components. here is a picture that emphasis the fascia with molding but I think it works in part because of its monochromatic nature. Manuneman, you might want to try doing a Google images search for 'stacked crown moulding'. Will give you a good idea of the components you need to get a similar look. Hopefully, cost isn't a factor because replicating the look is going to be expensive in materials and labor.
