What's a great pale BM pink to use on ceiling if taupe on walls?

this is for my daughter's room. i am thinking to do the walls in BM london fog, but still need to get a sample of it first. i want a very pale pink that doesn't scream out "pink," but still registers as such. thanks for any suggestions!

My favorite combination.

B. Moore has a couple that might work for you.
Try "Pristine" for something fresh and pale, or "Queen Anne Pink" for something stronger.

If you can stray from Moore, look at Pratt & Lambert's "Smokestain Rose" or "Shasta Sunset."

BM Atrium White has a slight pink cast for a subtle pink glow.
It seems appropriate for a ceiling.

I love Benjamin Moore paint. I have used it, along with Ralph Lauren, and Lowe's Valspar in the last few years. Benjamin Moore was my favorite, hands down! It does not run easily like many paints will do. They will have numerous paint samples to choose from, as well. I will say I just painted in the last month with Benjamin Moore and it is VERY close to the paint sample, just a slight bit lighter. I think your daughter's idea of pink sounds very pretty. I also like the idea of pink with white. Maybe the two of you could look at all of their paint samples together and pick some out to take home to check with the lighting and finishes of the room. Taking the paint sample cards home is very important. Good luck to both of you! Also, remember paint colors are an easy fix.

I painted DD1's bedroom a pale pale pink just over a year ago. She lives in CA, and I don't recall the brand of paint store but I can call to ask. It shows up more pink on my monitor than it did in person. It's a very pretty, faint color. You have to look at it and keep asking yourself is it pink or white. She was working for Rachel Ashwell at Shabby Chic and several of her customers used this color:

I would choose a soft tone of the gray in the tile for your walls, and use a white with a barely peachy undertone. I'd paint the ceiling the same color as the trim, to keep the rosiness going. Sophisticated, calm, and coordinated. Martin-Senour "Owlet" or "Cindersmoke" on the walls, with "First Bloom" for trim and ceiling would be pretty. Farrow & Ball "Elephant's Breath" paired with "Dimity." Sherwin-Williams "Worldly Gray" SW7043 or "Amazing Gray" 7044 with "A La Mode" 7116 or "Venetian Lace" 7119. Then if you wanted something strong added, towels in pink and burgundy, or deep gray and apple green? And a little touch of shiny black - perhaps a black marble soap dish and cup, and a slender black frame for whatever you choose for the wall?

You are so very welcome! :-) We tested a "gajillion" colors for the FR (this room is off the FR) until we finally settled on Mascarpone (one of my first choices, BTW, but DH wasn't too keen on it at first). Somehow I just knew that the Muslin would be the winner in the Guest Bedroom from the get-go. I did look at a two or three darker colors in there as well, just to be 100% sure, but really wasn't ready to go darker in there. Muslin is a terrific neutral color. We both absolutely love the Muslin. It looks a little creamier during the day, leans more toward khaki at night, but looks great either way. We are very happy with the Aura matte--have used it in every room we've painted over the past 5-6 years, incl ceilings (used matching colors to the wall colors in the satin finish on the baseboard molding in all rooms).

Opal goes incredibly well with Paris Rain which is a taupe shade.

thanks, everyone. i decided on valspar lyndhurst gallery beige and BM soft white (which is really a pale pink). now i just have to decide what to do for the crown moulding. any suggestions?

i'll post pics when the room is done--i'm excited because i think it's going to look soft and pretty without being over-the-top girly and garish. :)

Paint the crown to match your other trim - which would be the Moore Soft White.

I used, upon suggestion from an issue of House Beautiful a few years back, one called "Old Country" in my guest room. I have white trim and used RH Baby and Child sheets and duvets in pink, white and gray stripe (sheets), duvet is in gray. Beds are black twin beds with panel headboards and footboards. I LOVE this room! Used the Old Country on the walls and ceiling (vaulted). I get tons of compliments on this room! Very restful! Good luck with your search..Wheatberry is pretty, too, but may be too beige.
