I have not done it with multiple pictures, but have framed a single framed print. Sounds like a great idea, as long as the frames are uniform in size and color.

Do you really think they have to be uniform in size? I bought several in different sizes to do this and was thinking maybe I should make a paper template to see how they can work together.

The big wooden frame used to be gold but I'm rubbing it with a couple of layers of paint to make it very dark and almost stained looking. This whole idea is to try to tie my open dining area (used to be a room) a bit to the kitchen which now has very dark stained cherry cabs. I should have enough of the paints to do any of the frames that don't quite have the right tone...most are probably too black.

I haven't done it and don't have pics, but heard of a home that was for sale where they took molding painted black and made a large frame on the wall and put all framed pictures in black or silver in it. The person who saw this said it was a fabulous look and a great way to have a picture gallery.

Good question. I have wondered the same thing. I have a big vicotian picture frame, have thought of doing the same thing for over the fireplace. I have thought of putting small oils in there. Would love oils of dogs. So I will watch what you do.
