Scarlett, when I was deciding on a paint color for my kitchen I bought a sample of the EK honeysuckle and it is a gorgeous orangey yellow. It added too much orange for my kitchen as it made my wheat stained cabs read too orange but I adore the color. It is so happy and lively looking.

Thank you for message. It looks nice on the photos that I have seen. They won't even ship the paint chips to Canada (just went on their web site) so I have no way of even getting a sample to colour match.

So if anyone can confirm approximate colour matches for Honeysuckle in other paint brands, it would be much appreciated.

Scarlett when I have some time this evening I will take my honeysuckle sample and try to match it to another paint manufacturer. Also post your request on the paint forum also.

I have RH Butter in my kitchen and love it's warmth with my cherry cabinets. I had it mixed by BM and it's almost identical. They have it in their computer. My friend used EK Buttercream and it's almost identical. The swatch reads lighter than it actually looks on the wall. After seeing it, I might think EK Honeysuckle would be too yellow in person, although I love it on the swatch. This link might be useful.

Scarlett, marigold by Sherwin Williams looks close but more vibrant than Honeysuckle. Also Benjamin Moore Barley is a beautiful orangey yellow.

I chose Aura "Impeccable" for a bedroom because it appeared to be a light, sunny yellow. On the wall, however, it has definite orange undertones. It might be too pale for what you want, but it is pretty.

Edited to correct: I think the English name for it is actually "Flawless."

I looked through the BM Classic Deck to see if anything resembled Honeysuckle but did not find anything even close. I did see the Pineapple Smoothie and I would not consider that color for what you are going for.

Maybe start with a wall, then two, and then only one room before committing. As I recall, you had your house painted in the other color that did not work out. It will also appear different in each room.

What seemed wrong with Pineapple Smoothie? I have sample can of that in Aura, and it is close to RH Butter but it is more vibrant - my main concern is that it would be too vibrant. Just for comparison, how does Pineapple Smoothie differ from Honeysuckle - less orange, more orange, lighter/darker, more vibrant/less vibrant? Just curious what this Honeysuckle colour is all about.

The best BM match to RH Butter is actually 75% Straw. So what is RH Butter like - is it too vibrant/yellow?

Birmingham Cream is in the same general family of colours, a bit more muted down and slightly more orange in the yellow than the 75% Straw. It is a strong contender. Only glitch is that Birmingham Cream does not look as good at night as the other colours (Pineapple Smoothie, 75% Straw etc.) as it is less vibrant and more dull.

I looked at the pineapple smoothie again and I wouldn't call it a yellow. It is a very vibrant neon peach color. I can't imagine painting your whole house in it or even a room really. Those colors look much stronger once they're up too. Be careful!

I actually have about 1/4 of a huge vaulted wall ceiling painted this colour, and believe it or not it actually shows mainly yellow with sunny orange undertones - not peach. I agree that the chip can look more peachy. Rather than an issue with the colour tone, my main concern with this colour is that it is rather "bright" - not quite neon but I do find it too vibrant for what I want. :)

So far, I am liking Birmingham Cream a lot. It is a toned down/lighter version of SW Enjoyable Yellow and is very pretty actually. Definitely a hybrid yellow/orange and not neon.

In 07 I used Eddie Bauer color called Slice. as in cantaloupe melon I think. Cabinets are white oak sort of golden with a greener undertone.

Thank you for those additional ideas. I may go revisit the SW paints. Where does one get Eddie Bauer paints - presumably not at the clothing stores so are they sold at one of the main paint stores or something?

Lowe's was selling it, like HD was selling Martha's line. Or something
