IsnâÂÂt it nice that you have passed down the good taste in decorating gene? I really enjoyed the pictures as well especially liked viewing the area rug as I have picked a similar rug for the dining room. IâÂÂll wait on that though as I want the background color of the patterned living room area rug so will wait until all is out of storage. Badgergal, nice light and thank you for posting! I had one close to that picked but am too chicken to have more than a minimal amount of other metal showing. I have quite a mix going on and but starting to get it straight in my head. Gooster, what a pretty room! Love your art and chairs as well. Speaking of chairs, thatâÂÂs next on my list. When I bought my table and credenza I did not like the chairs so didnâÂÂt buy. Even though the sale was good the chairs were still over priced for the workmanship. When I was staging my last home for sale I bought six chairs off craigslist for $100. Husband thinks they are fine but I think NOT. I just need to find better quality. I have no problem with used though as some of the old stuff is so much betterâ¦

I didn't consider the clemson at first, but I was thinking the lighting needed to match the hardware - I am over that now. I have found several similar pendants that I like a little bit better than, but cost a lot more. Mainly at Circa - beautiful, but I also need wall sconces and a dining chandelier etc. wi-sailorgirl - I love the Andover pendant - thanks for sharing it. I really appreciate the input. It might just be a bit too industrial for me. One of those things I see and think is really great, but maybe is a little too cool for me :)

Badgergal, your Otto pendants are beautiful and look so great with your tile BS. I noticed the height difference in your reveal post -- looks good. Pricklypear, I've debated the curvy track a lot. This island lighting issue is going to give me an ulcer, lol. Amanda, thanks, I like both Tech pendants too. When you say I should pay for more holes, do you mean I should use those pendants without a track? GWlolo, believe me, I have been shopping around a lot for track systems. Because of our vaulted ceiling, which is 10' high above the island, I need a system that has 2' rigid supports as an option. That seems to eliminate most companies. We were originally going with a Bruck system with their Rome pendant, but my designer did not like their cable supports and how many would be required. (Plus, the cost was not any lower.) Hosenemesis, I'm glad to hear you like the Dervish too. I think 3 of them would be too much for an 8' island. Just to clarify, I am trying to decide between using 3 smaller pendants, like the 5" diameter Tech pendants, or 2 larger (15" or 22" diameter) pendants, like the Dervish. I welcome more comments on which option is better for an 8' x 4.5' island. TIA!

Check out Shades of Light. My dining room chandy is from there and I bought it a long time ago...the chandelier and the drum shade were separate and I put them together. I can't remember how much the shade was, though.
