WEll I have this version in my guest bathroom that is 10 years old and still looks brand new. Granted, my daughter is the only person that uses this bathroom but the unit looks new. I HAD an acrylic shower in my master (currently putting in a tile shower now) and it was godawful. It took a lot of use from me and my husband. I should also add my daughter never takes showers - just baths so that could be responsible for keeping the "walls" sparkly and scratch free in her bathroom. I think tile has it's downsides but for a bathroom that 4 people are going to use hard, I don't know what to tell you. I had a shower used hard and it was awful...

Mine is all on the deck, faucet and handles on the outside, handshower on the inside. I made sure the handshower leans over the tub in its resting position so the drips go down the drain. Your decision may be personal preference or it may be dictatated by the dimensions of your fixtures and available surface on the tub. Take all the pieces out of the box and mock up your options to see what you like and what works best. Joe

Hopefully a wall directly behind this faucet wall will have an access of some sort to get at the piping. If your house is 50 yrs. old, you will probably have galvanized pipe. If the shower is on the first floor, it would probably be wise to change the piping from the cellar up to this fixture with copper because you will probably end up having to use some copper in the change over. One of the major companies (either Delta or Moen) makes a large plate that will fit over a hole that you would have to make to change the faucet from the tub side. The company that makes the plate has a faucet that fits perfectly into this plate. The Moen plate is called a "remodeling cover plate" and the part # should be #1920. I don't have a Delta number. Even with this, you have to be careful and not make a hole any larger than the plate will cover up. If you have ceramic tile on the shower walls, then the job gets even trickier. It would probably be a whole lot easier if you could do most of the work from the backside.

I have 2 windows (with faux wood blinds covering them thank you) at right angles above the tub in the master bath, so no wall art there. However, I do have a prominent piece of wall separating 2 mirrors over our vanities.........This wall is crying for something but I haven't found it. The other day, I saw some really pretty decorative wall clocks and have been thinking about that. For some reason I wasn't sure if it would be odd to have a pretty wall clock hanging there, although honestly it kind of makes sense. What do you think? The ones I saw (at Ross or TJMaxx) were round and had nice detailed frames.
