Help with wall deco

I have a 2 story wall that needs decorating. The size of the tv is 60" for size comparison. What sort of deco would you suggest for this wall?

This may not be what you're looking to hear, but honestly - that wall has so much height going on, I think it screams out for a beautiful wall unit. Something that would house the tv/electronics in the center, with bookshelves on each end.

Do stairs rise behind the open slant? What does the ceiling line look like? also, do you have a pic showing the left wall and windows? The light and shadows on your tv wall are so beautiful! Such a lovely soft color.

Feel free to copy Pinch Me! I showed pix to my friend today, who is my ex-box, who is an architect. He nearly fell off his chair lol. He assured me that it can be cleaned up, and said that it needs to be regrouted, but certainly should be kept by all means. His opinion was just find a solid tile which matches one of those colors to finish off the floor where there is none, and don't worry about it - so big deal it won't be perfect. I agree. It will be part of the character of the room. My BF is all excited to get cracking and try to clean it up now. We're going to just try some liquid Lysol, diluted first (Architect's suggestion), and gently scrub if necessary. We'll see how that goes. As for regrouting, I'll have to have a tile person come in for that, I don't think either of us is equipped for that chore (me for sure - I have two bum knees).

My suggestion is to pick your fabric things first. Drapes, rugs etc. Then you will be able to pull paint colors out of there. Paint is cheap and easy to change. You want to make sure you are picking the expensive things like drapes and rugs in prints, colors, fabrics that you really love. Most people do relatively neutral furniture and spice it up with pillows and other less expensive items that are easy to change. My .02 about drapes is to go to a nice fabric store and start shopping. You will have so many more options by choosing fabric and having drapes made rather than trying to find "stock" drapes at pottery barn or something. I know for me, it was less expensive to have them made as well. My other advice it not to buy things because you need something. Take your time and really pick things you love. It would be better to sit on patio furniture for 6 months than to buy something that is wrong for you.

Do you have any inspiration photos you like? I'd change the wall color to something like BM Manchester Tan. That would make a big/instant difference. I think it would also tie in better with your pillows and rug. Manchester Tan source - adventuresindecorating blog I'd change out the art to something else and remove the flowers.

There is a loft above right side of tv. I know a wall unit would be best for this wall, but not possible at this time. I have some metal fleur-de-lis, different sizes, maybe those with something else too?

So to the left of the loft, it continues to soar? Love the two loft angles! I've always wanted plants, like on top of your tall cabinet, spilling down gracefully from such a loft. All your plants are lovely.
Is the arched window to the left of the tv the tallest window on that wall?

Lovely room. I also agree a large wall unit would work best to take up all that space.

Are those return air vents on the wall?

Can you post some more pictures to show the entire room an different angles?

I'd use a large textile wall hanging - a rug or tapestry, or even an art quilt - since large/high spaces like that usually need a bit of softening way up there. Even if/when you got a large wall unit for your tv and stuff you'd still have quite a bit of empty wall left above it. The iron thingies could go on the half-wall on the right that looks like it's the upstairs hallway.

(Paint the HVAC grilles to match the walls, too, but you know that already.)

I have the exact same table lamp as you do on the sideboard by the armoire - mine came in a set with two floor lamps about a squintillion years ago. :-)
