Sofa Colors for living room
Comments (4)You can have a lot of fun with your idea….I think you need two constants in your scheme if you can see one room to the other. I suggest each sofa be white and slipcovered. For instance: Yellow room:Lavender room: The other constant: similar rugs. A white bordered sisal rug, for example...See Morewhat color sofa should i add to living room to warm it up
Comments (8)If you love the blue, then a sapphire sofa in velvet would not be amiss.....add a pair of lounge chairs in a bright turquoise, hot pink, bright orange, neon yellow. I think a rug in grey and white would add brightness and block some of the dark flooring. Large modern are with your room colors would be great....it if often suggested on Houzz that large art can be hung and then all the colors taken from the art work an be used to design the room. A lot of white works nicely with silver and cream. Keep the grey but add two colors all over the room Cherry red with black white grey accents Subtle yellow/cream/honey and white Lime and grey and white Tres chic if you like traditional Bright blue sofa with pop of orange....See MoreWhat colour sofa for living room... and other ideas?
Comments (18)What about a medium warm grey, which would work well with walls, fireplace and hopefully your chairs (not sure if they are the same color). Add warm toned textured cushions. (I wouldn't use dark brown as the two chairs are already dark enough in room.) You had asked for overall ideas for room, hope some of these help. Given you have centered couch to fireplace, it is off centre on wall. What do you think of a couch or sectional in front of window with a table/lamp on one end and a floor lamp on the other. This will also help fill the empty corner near fireplace On the wall as you enter, add a console and art Place your two chairs facing window. Adding a mantle would be great Linen like drapes (@Ikea) would warm up the space I’d change the art over the table next to fireplace and add pottery on the table Add a large basket on the floor next to fireplace. I have the one below and it’s large and well made...See MoreNeed Help designing my living room , Here is my current couch colour
Comments (13)I see what you've done including/incorporating your sofa's pinkish tan in your pillows and rug and using analagous deeper pinks. You might have better luck with a color scheme that relies on whites and then contrasting colors (navy, charcoal, chocolate brown) and lets the sofa's pinkish tan stand by itself. (Patricia is right that photos of more of the room would get you more helpful advice. She is wrong, IMO, to fling fly-by snark at your sofa instead of advice; and in how she spells the word "please". Proofread, please, @Patricia Colwell. Your comments are challenging to read. Thanks.) Maybe this thread could help? https://www.houzz.com/magazine/how-to-decorate-a-living-room-stsetivw-vs~105196187 I'd start by painting the walls white. Consider white curtains with some texture, not pattern. Target often offers attractive panels - look for their Threshold or Hearth & Home/ Magnolia brands. If you want to keep your rug, tone everything else way down and incorporate its dark chocolate. Look at the photo in No. 8 - patterned rug....See Moredebb
