Ok that's easy enough. I thought we had a bit more room on that facing wall but I can work with that. I don't like a tv jack that requires submission in decor. Since money isn't an object, (and frankly it's not expensive to do) how about we string cable under the carpet to a different location? Are you totally opposed to that? If you don't do that, you are going to be greeting your guests as they walk into the house with the backs of your furniture, which is both unapealing and heck I think it's also not fungi swayed either (I don't do fung but they do have some good principals). There's also wireless cable...do you have that in your area? I know it's realistic to have TV in your home, so I'm not trying to take that out of the room, but I also think you need to consider that this is the room your guests see first. It sets a tone for the house and should be a primary focus for you, given that you don't have a large entry hall (most homes don't now a days). I didn't draw it in here, but one thing I think is a must is that you should have a small table (round) on the entry landing in front of that long window. Or a globe on a stand, something to break the space from living room and entry mentally and physically. You'll be excited to know that you are now going to become a world class globe collector. I've decided that you either travel, or have always wanted to travel and thus...globes are your passion :) You don't have millions, but you do have some wonderful ones scattered throughout the room you exotic little fool you! Your new style is classy and traditional...if you should choose to accept my design :oP But also incorporates influences from around the world :)

If you have lots of art try some on either side of the fireplace, remove that mantel and get one in a wood similar to the table and add some proper trim around the fireplace. The mantel is too high to do much for decor. It seems odd to have the fireplace in this narrow DR was it something else before ? Some nice window coverings , remove the stacked tables in the corner and the clutter from the ledge.When doing the art just keep working at what works well together and I would google how to hang multiple art on a wall.I don’t love gallery walls but sometimes they do the trick if done right.

I like decoenthusiaste's general layout. I think using the sofa to separate the living space from the entrance, and having a small dining table on the other side of the room by the kitchen would avoid having a big empty space in the center of your room. The sofa table is a great idea. Since this is a smaller space, one with a couple of drawers for keys, mail, etc. could work great. I am not sure if your pictures are distorting the dimensions of the room, but it seems like the far wall (adjacent to windows) would require more furniture than just a TV. I would do something symmetrical on each side. Something similar to the photo below. Mount the TV on the wall above the TV stand. Add two taller piece of furniture on each side. Put a chair on the window wall with a very small side table. The sofa in the picture would work well, and you could add a small table on the wall opposite the windows with some kind of art or photo display above it.

some plants would be nice. could you put an eye hook in the ceiling and do a type of hanging Pothos in the corner? you have some beautiful light, I'd have a bunch of orchids and african violets! then just bring in few items this glass vase w/blossoms would look nice. you need something w/a little height. that's why I mentioned doing the hanging plant off to one side this one is almost identical to yours, but painted
