Comments (10)"1) Is this the correct way to do this? " Maybe, maybe not. You say it is a 240 circuit, but the majority of ranges are 240/120. A 240 circuit has no neutral. Prior to 1996 240/120 circuits for ranges were OK to run with SEU cable originating at the main service panel. SEU has 3 conductors with the bare, concentric outer neutral bonded to the range cabinet for grounding purposes.. If this is the case, and your range is 240/120 than no, it is not the correct way to do this, code prohibits that circuit from being extended. The correct and legal way is to run a new, 4 wire circuit and install a 4 wire receptacle and a 4 wire cord on the range....See More220v lines to irrigation pump

Comments (20)Hi 80810snut, I didn't see any benefit to the commercial machine given our usage: we wanted drying because we unload the dryer into our cabinets. The pro-speed cycle plus drying time = express cycle time on the residential machine. So, for our dishwasher there was no difference in timing on a program that included drying. Yes, 2K vs. 5K was also a big consideration. Even if I was saving 20 min. per day, I wouldn't pay the extra 3K given how we do dishes usually: after dinner and don't unload until after an hour of TV, so an extra 10-20 minutes didn't seem to make any difference and the cost is astronomical. In a commercial setting with continuous use the extra $$ makes sense, but we're usually doing 1 load a day, maybe 2 max except for special occasions. For special occasions (lots of cooking) I can do an express short load in 23 minutes... that's 4 minutes longer than the equivalent load on the 8083. I decided I could deal with an extra 4 minutes *shrug*. IOW 3K>4 minutes. Also, repairs: I figured if anything went wrong I would be able to more easily find residential repairpeople who knew the residential units. Hope the above helps....See MoreCost to run 30amp 220v circuit to the kitchen
Comments (6)I think our builder charged us $300 to run a cable straight up from the basement to the double oven, And this was at the framing stage. Ended up being a bargain because the electrician spent a lot of time fitting the ovens into the cabinet and moving the outlets around so that they were in the right place....See Moremike_kaiser_gw
