Which Rug looks best in my space?

I am getting SERIOUS now... We painted the Great room BM PIsmo Dunes. We have a chocolate Brown leather sectional. Silver Sage accents (inspired by my Silver Sage pillows).

THis is the room from a distance and the pillows we have:

I tend to be more of a plain jane kind of girls, although since building this house I seem to have changed a little bit. I wasn't much for combining different patterns, colors, designs, but lately I seem to be attracted to all that stuff.

I am looking for a rug for this room- with a silvery blue green in it.

These rugs are all a little more traditional than I tend to be but I really like them. The last one is more of a blue rather than a blue green so I am not sure how it will work, but which one do you think would look best?

#1- The second from the top is in SPA color

#2- I couldn't get the spa color but look at the design (also the most expensive so I might rule out)

#3-

Which do you think? 1, 2, or 3?

I like #1 and then #3
I feel like #1 will be more forgiving if it's a high-traffic area, but #3 really is very pretty- tough choice!

you don't want to limit yourself...
by having other colors in the rug, you can always change your pillows if you tire of that one color.

Thank you all for your opinions. I think I am going to go to pottery Barn to check the rugs out live.. @InteriorStylist-still haven't decided. I really like the last light but im nervous to commit. That first light (the rect. angular) was from Eth an allen and apparently they have a NO return policy on fixtures if they have been hung. I still have it because someday somewhere in my house I will find a place for it. @pps7i hope to get chairs in at some point..and blinds... and wall art. Ugh it never ends does it? @finz2left. The pillows were from RH on clearance a few years ago. Thanks again for all of your help. Once I see them live I will give you thea verdict.

Anglophilia, care to elaborate? I enjoy learning from the pros on this site. I think I said this the first time around--the island is a good prep space, and separates the zones. It has more than the NKBA recommended width for prepping. Two people can easily work in option 1 at the same time. The DW and dishes are near the table, so the DW can be loaded or unloaded, and the table set, without a helper needing to enter the prep/cooking area. I also like that anyone coming from the stairs has a little more room to maneuver, and isn't running into an obstruction: I also like LL's plan to flip the space, with the table having a view of the bump-out. There's something about option 2 that I don't like, but other than the fridge being in the corner, which it also is in option 1, I don't know what it is--maybe that the peninsula is too close to the stairs. I don't remember if this is too similar to your original kitchen, but I'll toss it in, too--the work space is about the same size as your option 2, and it gets the fridge out of the corner:

I would go with a basic box or simple stainless steel. I love the looks of the copper and iron ones you are gravitating towards, but they are not quite right for your kitchen.

Wendy, Your kitchen would look great with a runner or more of that full room look. For the full room you may have to put 2 together to make the full length of you kitchen. Wasn't sure the other colors and style you are looking for but some examples below. the blue full room one not shown in the room is an example of one you can do that doesn't have a border so 2 together can look seem less as one rug. You can sew or use carpet tape to keep them together. lots of other patterns colors and styles you van do this with just as long as it looks seem less from one to the other. You will probably have to trimmed off the adjoining ends to put them together. If rugs.com has the right sizing to the picture, a 4'11x 6 would be about perfect to double but you should measure to confirm.

#3. I like all of the choices but you said you are not really traditional and of the rugs #3 is edgier and transitional rather than traditional- at least to me.
It is beautiful and striking.

AHHH.. thanks everyone.. but now my decision is even harder. I was leaning more towards 1- but my mother loved 3. You don't think 3 is too busy with the pillows? since it has pops of terracota (it looks red in photo) and black? Black is not such a big deal b/c our FP and TV are black (not issues to me ).

I have a yellow lab, and 7 yr.old and 4 yr. old daughters.. Does that change your mind at all? (don't know why it would but in terms of color etc..)

The two rugs are the same exact price so I can't even use that as an excuse to choose one over the other... YIKES..I saw #3 in person at the only HOME DECORATORS store in the East Coast in NJ . No. 1 is based on catalog and computer only..

I like number 1 better. It's a little less dramatic which I like in a rug. I'd prefer my artwork/pillows/drapes etc. to be the punch in a room.

So I go with you - #1!

Of these three, I think number one is pretty and classy, but still casual in feel. Number two feels formal. Number three reminds me of an old-time linoleum floor, and I donÂt care for how the pattern cuts off on the sides.
