That looks nice! What you described (and showed in the 1st pic) is correct to remove a single unsightly leaf. In time, what's left of its' petiole will fall off of the stem. As a vine, it will naturally grow in length at the tips. When a tip starts to stray out, away from the support pole, you can guide it back down the pole, then back up. Where a petiole connects to the main stem is called a node. If you remove the newest leaf forming at the tip of a vine, it will be forced to make one or more new ones. The most likely place for this to happen would be at a node where a leaf was previously removed. The position where there is no natural light is concerning. Unless you have bright fluorescent lights on for at least 8 hours per day, your plant will likely decline in health. Seeing the inner pot inside the outer pot, it would also be good for you to know that your plant could become ill, from its' roots rotting, if water fills up/stays in the outer pot. For that reason, if possible, it would be healthiest for your plant to be taken to a shower or sink for a drink, then placed back in the outer pot when it's finished dripping.

A consideration in smaller baths with an open shower design is shower overspray getting onto the tub. Or elsewhere. When done showering can you rinse it away with a handheld? Or will it self-scour? Overspray of just water isn't much of a problem, but if it's blobs of soap suds, body lather, hair product, etc, when the water dries those things can leave a scum residue. If everything is well-designed and properly pitched to drain, it's quite easy to give everything a quick rinse with a handheld and you're done. If not, then things can get dirty after just a few showers. A couple of comments...the bidet...if space it at a premium, consider a washlet. Often times Toto's washlets are discussed here, they have both "all-in-one" products as well as "add-on" washlets, where the washlet simply replaces the seat on your existing standard toilet. Excellent products, and I think better than a bidet, as once you sit down you're there until your done. No shifting from one fixture to another. Only one fixture to clean. The Toto Neorest is an all-in-one, but it's pretty expensive. The S300 if probably the most common add-on seat, it's more affordable. Back to the tub faucet being in the way...code requires the tub water to be able to be controlled from outside the tub. You can't be forced to step into the tub to turn the water on. It's a form of scald protection. That's why they have the faucet offset to the entry side and not located on the back wall. The design you show, the tub faucet location could be tweaked further to provide easier access to the tub. But that's the basic requirement for locating the tub's faucet and controls.

Thanks for the link Bonnie. :) I enjoyed re reading it. We rented a cabin for a week by a man made lake in central BC near Lumby. It was named Cozy Cabins and it was big enough for the 8 of us. Still was quite cozy though. We enjoyed the lake and the complementary row boats. We wore our life jackets when we went rowing in solidarity with the kids who all had to wear theirs. :). There are trails for hikers of all abilities. My in laws came back with sore calves when they took a steep mountain trail that they weren't expecting. :) I can't hike in dry heat as it causes me to have an aural migraine. Not conducive to finding my way back to the cabin. Only one bathroom and no internet except in one spot on the grounds made it feel more rustic. I enjoyed the change from always being hooked online. No one else seemed to miss the web either. :). Not even the 20 and 30 somethings. If we go again we'll rent 2 cabins right by the lake is the general consensus. 2 cabins equals 2 bathrooms. :) (We all said a 2nd bathroom wouldn't hurt.)

I have to on a daily basis. I live in a small town in rural MI. My shopping choices are quite limited, mostly mart mart discount chains. Almost all are horrid. Any nice retail we had shut down years ago. So sad and unpleasant. In my youth, we had many small retail businesses, and since we all went to school or church together and our folks were in Jaycees or other service clubs or youth clubs together, I knew many of the proprietors and sales people. Shopping was fun. I could not wait for allowance day to walk downtown, stop at the root beer stand, and see what my weekly paycheck would buy . . . not anymore. I would be hard pressed to come up with a store that isn't horrid. Even my local Goodwill, which has great stuff, is a pain because you have to sift through all the stuff and there's that thrift store smell . . . We have a nice antique store in town but I am maxed out on tchotchkes. Some nice farm markets regionally, but not anywhere near me. This is one reason retirees often leave my town for better places to live. Add to that no nice places to go out to eat and a paucity of good medical services. We take monthly shopping trips to the bigger cities and will move to one once my Dad is gone. Grocery shopping is like going into battle, and the selection and quality has gone downhill. And now, long lines and clog ups at the auto checkout. This trend I think will get worse but ultimately not last. Fewer and fewer employees, then automation is the first step in something disappearing all together. Not sure what will take its place. An interesting ponder . . . I think there is a space for savvy entrepreneurs but rents are through the roof which is one reason retail is dying. An odd combination, decaying retail spaces with through the roof rents . . . I grew up with a wonderful smaller grocery stores, in strips along with pharmacies, hardware, fabric and other stores so the grocery was mostly actual grocery items, and then there were wonderful actual farm markets and orchards . . . At this point Mr. Robinson would advise Benjamin Braddock that the future was "warehouses." Edited to add that our local Shopper's Guide advertisement paper flyer just closed. First, it automated and moved all its business offices to virtual, away from our actual town. It also had cumbersome and unreliable means of placing ads, but to add insult to injury, higher rates, way higher and longer lead times. So pretty soon the whole thing went "Pft." It was a great resource in its heyday, which was 2000's. Digital marketplaces are not reliable, not everyone is online or even wants to be. The flyer came in the mail every week, my brother was a delivery boy. With production costs going down, not sure why these actual paper flyers are not able to stay profitable, since paper ads are still a proven effective marketing tool. And then don't get started on the assaults on the mail service. To me, these are big declines in some great institutions. What's replacing it is a mixed bag of a lot of marginal stuff, way less value, IMHO. I studied digital marketing, it is no better than paper as far as time invested vs results . . .
