Thank you Debrak for the pics, yes, I do like the Deloren Gray. I found a chart on the internet that compares the colors of Mapei, Laticrete and Custom Building Products, very helpful. I do realize it isn't perfect, but will help me narrow down a few colors. mydreamhome, yes, I do have to drive 60 miles to HD and Lowes, so I will be searching out a few real tile stores in the city and calling to see if they have real grout samples. Thanks for that tip. The big box stores are great for a lot of things, but some are very lacking in knowledge and service. I think it is time for professional help! thats good advice daisy. Marc, what you are looking at on that site is essentially what is known as a GOG or glass on glass project and thats another subject you might want to read up on as there are specific concerns about your adhesive choices and grout bleed issues when doing a GOG. As far as glass cutting, a glass cutter/scoring tool and wheeled nippers are most preferred but there are saws and gigs available too

Totally worth the long wait!!!!! I am in love with marble in any application but I think in your kitchen, I'd stand there all day and stare at that glass tile like it was a TV screen. Fabulous!

It's funny, but we didn't choose our glass tile backsplash because it was popular, or even trendy (didn't realize it was!). It just "went" with our (contemporary) style and it worked beautifully with all the elements that made up our kitchen--our flat panel/slab door (light cherry) cabinets, our soft black granite, SS appliances and sink, and satin nickel, SS, and chrome accessories. It had a certain something that made it special, without overwhelming everything else we'd chosen, which is exactly what we'd wanted for our backsplash. In fact, when I first saw the sample boards in the store, I thought it had an almost retro, late 60's/70's mod look!
