After living with the (boring) neutrals that were in the house when we moved here 15 years ago, we just finished painting all of our upstairs rooms and I love all the colors. Hard to pick a favorite, as each was chosen to go with the light and furnishings in that particular room. What I probably love most is the Atrium White trim and how it plays nicely with all of the somewhat intense colors we chose. All have LRVs around 30: Louisburg Green, Van Cortland Blue, Richmond Gold, Summerdale Gold are all lovely. In the bath, which gets lots of western light and has bright white fixtures and shower curtain, we went more intense with Philipsburg Blue. I couldn't be happier.

After a quick consult with my BM CS fan deck both Rocking Chair and Strand of Pearls have a different under tone than the wood and fabric. Rocking Chair reads pinky and Strand of Pearls well I guess sort of muddy like the mud used to texture a wall. If it were me I'd go with a color like Hidden Cove or Butter Cookie more warm yellow toned than the cooler pinky purplish tone. Picking a neutral for a whole new build is tough, I just went through that last year. I'm slowly choosing colors and painting (hence the owning fan decks) living with one color everywhere drives me nuts! Good luck :)

Jodokos - Yes, I have very dark hardwood floors - I have seen Navajo White used as a trim color it's pretty, but not enough "color" for me. Since my floor plan is pretty open you can really see my floors well. Why oh why didn't I pick a lighter color floor ! Carolfm - No, it doesn't have to be BM paint. My3dogs - I wonder why there isn't any - not a drop of yellow when they make PCream? I looked at some comments on an old posts where they where listing "favorite yellows/golds" I think two posters had it and they weren't totally happy w/it at different times of the day/nite. I have the can so I am going to get a sample on the walls this week-end. I soooo want it to work at my house as it looks really nice from the pictures you posted. Lyfia - I will look at your suggestions too. I just sooo want to get these rooms painted and done! I have picked a pretty Candice Olson fabric for my drapes and the background color is cream and then a bluish/teal in a modified trellis pattern. I think I need some color on the walls since the drapes have so much cream.

My favorite is Edgecomb Grey. I painted both of my children's room's this color. It looks fab with pink accents and black furniture in my daughter's room, and equally terrific with navy and red in my son's room. Also love Stonington Grey, which is in my bedroom. Grey Wisp is another great color. Have it in the office and powder room. Hmmm...i think I like grey! Just realized that every room that I've painted in this house has been some shade of grey.! Kitchen is next. On the table is revere pewter and Harbor Grey. Of course.
