Are you putting a band of black tile in through the subway tile?

Yes we are putting a pencil line through the bs with a jog around the range. That should help tie in our black appliances. Plus I love that vintage look.

If anyone has another suggestion for paint color let me know asap.

I'm going to look today for any alternatives to the bs tile. Not that I don't like it but just in case there is something better out there.

If I keep the tile, any suggestions for paint color? I got a ton of samples and spend Sunday comparing them all to the other elements. The Lampswool seemed to disappear in the granite and tile so I thought it was a good match. Some of the colors were so close it was really difficult.

The outlets are all ready purchased so have to work with that color. I don't remember doing this but apparently I picked light almond for the color??? Can't be returned.

I can't offer any paint suggestions without seeing the room, adjoining rooms, furniture, draperies, etc.

Since you are looking at other options for the backsplash, you might consider tile that doesn't have that swirl (mottled) pattern in it. The granite is so pretty you might want to do a plainer tile on the backsplash.

Some like the tile (I do) and some suggest glass instead. If so what color? I think something like the green paint would work.???

If you like the tile, then stop looking at other tile. You will drive yourself crazy.

It sounds like you have to paint first, so your original paint color that nearly matches the tile is a safe and sure way to go.

You can see how the paint chips change color depending on the photo. If you are doubting your ability to pick a paint color, go to the paint store or the tile store with your chips and a piece of tile and ask their opinion.

Graywings, so you like the color I myself picked and posted in my original post? The one I just posted is from SW. The store here has really helpful talented people. A person there helped me come up with balanced beige.

There is a dining room off the kitchen but that will be redecorated next. Could be anything but was thinking of a darker green then the sample I posted above. The paint colors would not touch.

Graywings I must have missed your comments on the tile. Yea I know. Need to talk to DH tonight. Either we just stick with this or start looking at glass.

Just wanted to give a quick update. We are staying with the bs tile posted above but with a smaller pencil line. Going to the 2nd color I posted, SW balanced beige.
