Painting the entire interior of a house...

We are moving to a smaller home. My current house started builder's white and was painted one room at a time. There is no cohesion. We need to paint the whole interor of the new house and the main floor is fairly open.

The living room, stairs and dining room will be carpeted in this:

the rest of the floors will be wood.

Mouldings will be 5.5" white. My furniture is darker wood, antiques and traditional styles. The only fabric I have is a very dark red couch for the livingroom which I would like to minimize.

Color suggestions? There are tons of windows so it is bright.

Also, My idea for the kid's rooms was to paint them the main color of the house with an accent wall of their choice.
