Spin - Canadian Politics?

Hey Canadians (or ex-pats)!

The American politics thread has me wondering who you're favouring in our election... (Or who you would be favouring, were you here)

I'm quite lefty... But I'm struggling with the "divided left" problem in this election.

For those of you who don't know your Canadian politics - we have four/five main parties in this election: Conservative Party (right wing with some central-leaning), Liberal Party (central, with some left-leaning), New Democratic Party (left), Green Party (left, a newer party that until recently primarily focused on environmental issues), and the fifth that I don't really count is the Bloc Quebecois (only in Quebec, focused on Quebec sovereignty)... So that means all the right-wings will likely vote Conservative, the centrals will likely vote Conservative or Liberal, but the left-wing is split between NDP, Green and Liberal.

So my heart wants to vote NDP, and I suspect I probably will... But I am going to keep an eye on the stats before election day, and if my riding appears to be close between Conservative and Liberal, or Conservative and Green, I may feel compelled to vote Liberal or Green. This is a real struggle for me and I'm quite upset about the divided-left.

The one thing that I like about this problem is that it shows that there is enough left-leaning tendency in Canada to pull ALL the political parties in Canada to the left, so even the Conservatives are a little liberal.
