Resonable Spending?

Hello, again,

I realize that you don't know me and cannot fully analyze my personal situation, but I hope, given your experience working with various customers throughout the years, you can give me a little advice. In your opinion and considering the following, how much should a person in my situation spend on windows (considering the situation, not the windows themselves):

- 1st house: small, 2BR home, good area/subdivision, appraised $130,000-140,000

- south/southeast part of the country

- have lived here one year, will probably stay 2-3 more years

- currently have 5 aluminum, builder grade (original to 22 year old house) windows, a bit drafty

Should I have the windows replaced if I plan to stay only 2-3 more years? If so, is it better to go for a low-mid range or mid-range window? How important is it to get EnergyStar certified?

Thank you!
