What channel? What station?

I liked this episode much better than the ones last week - he seemed to give much more concrete examples of what to do, and why to do it. I loved the finished room!

I must find out when he is on in Northern NJ since I love his shows. I am actually finally buckling down and typing bills and then I will post more pics. I wish I had an inborne decorating ability.

LOL, I cannot believe it, I missed the shows. I lied down to watch them and zonked out!! I'll have to catch the rebroadcast. Tell me, how did he handle those tall windows?

The first show today was a very tall livingroom and most interesting to me as I wouldn't have a clue how to think it through, never had such a space. The next half hour was a repeat of the first show, the couples bedroom. I'm still so glad he is back in a professional format!

I would have to pay $40 in cable fees to add the tier that has that channel...

Alas, I won't do that.

I went on the FL network site and watched all CL's video's, but didn't see anything about tall windows. Maybe it's a week behind on line. That one would interest me also. I know i'll be using the Rattan shades, but I *need* fabric too.

Yes bru, I taped it and then DH and I watched it before our movie. He (DH) likes it when Chris goes in the hotels.

It was really funny how he gave digs to the builders of these spaces but mercifully was kind to the people who live in them :).

As I suspected, he did take the treatment up and over the top windows. Thanks for the pic caminnc. That will be the last room I complete. Even though I got so many opinions here from people, whose style I really admire, about 'grounding the room' by having treatments just on the bottom windows, it just doesn't look right to me.

I have a huge pendant in the foyer and when I look at that and envision shorter drapes, the balance really seems out of whack.

Of course, watching the show with DH just led to another 'discussion' of how much he loves the ceilings and
I hate them, lol. When he nudges me to get started on planning a patio, he is quickly informed that the money for that project is NOT coming out of my decorating budget as I will be broke after the window treatments are finished.

It's bad enough to have one room like that but our great room is the same thing and I still have to design a fireplace. I kept hoping that Chris would show the rest of their house and was telling DH that I hoped they at least had 'one' easy room to work with, but alas, never saw the ceiling in their family room.

parma, now that's some inspiration for you! I like the shades on the lower windows for light control. Hadn't seen that before. Oh, he knows how to do it up, that's for sure. I love the way he addresses the height in all his rooms with tall ceilings. Most decorator's ignore them and tell people to ignore them. LOL What's the point of a tall ceiling if you can't bring the eye up and make it look lovely. OK Parma, get cracking.

would you use a matching bottom-up blind in the top window if you needed more light control or would that be too much? Is the molding only on the bottom window for 'Grounding' the room? Love the two mirrors over the fireplace reflecting the two story windows in the cove. The tall drapes setting back the cove actually make the room look deeper, Brilliant!
Parma, hope you have fun with your project and bru, glad he puts lots on the website so we don't miss it all. I am recording too because I never get it all the first time, always have thoughts I want to go back and check.

I don't really care about light control in there. The windows face north and east.
