I need your thoughts about why new windows are so cold
Comments (1)Hmmmmmmmmmm.. If the window frame is properly insulated and the exterior is properly sealed and the window is installed correctly, and locked, there should not be that kind of air infilration. Was there any weathersripping removed for finishing that may have not be re-installed? If you can't find the problem, you need to call Andersen and have the factory come examine their product. Comments (14)As far as our "new friend" goes, he's not trying to sell us anything yet. Part 2 is posted, and I think it's possible he (or she) is just giving us the benefit of knowledge about what goes on in China and elsewhere. I have a friend who's paid quite a bit for these "original" copies, and I bet she doesn't know they're sort of a paint-by-numbers. She'd probably appreciate the posting above. I am known to be naive, so I acknowledge maybe there will be a part 3 where we're given a sales pitch, but so far I don't see what Zhenwei stands to gain personally by the postings. So up to this time, I thank the poster for the information....See MoreWhy was this Seiryu so cheap?
Comments (31)I'm guessing it was cheap because it was from Menards. Most people are not going to want a lanky green JM if they're getting them there... they're going to want a standard weeper, or a red upright. So, the oddball trees get left until the end of the year, then Menards just wants to get rid of it. The original price may have been a lowered price printed later in the season, you never know. Good find on your part! My Seiryu is a little taller than yours (8'?) and only started getting bushy recently. Its first three years it just grew up, up, up. I bought it as a 2-year graft (maybe three?), so I'd guess yours is around five to eight years old. They grow quickly at first, then slow down and fill out more. Enjoy it!...See MoreWhy is it so hard to decide on window treatments?
Comments (4)While I don't have shears with a print on them, we do have the set up that My3dogs describes.. I tend to be more practical in my approach and these fit the bill for what we needed. I appreciate how the shears can soften a room as well as provide privacy and filter light (without making the room uncomfortably dark). In response to your question though, you are probaby having a hard time because you haven't found anything that you love and know you could live with for a long time. Keep looking and you will know it when you find them....See Moreafsa
