I have talked to the owner, who loves to rescue old chairs and has THIRTEEN rockers plus many other chairs in his house that he has restored! He says that he and his wife discussed this, and just don't have room for another chair. I honestly don't know where I'd put it at the moment, but it is just so interesting looking... I have an old high school friend who does upholstery, and a cabinet maker former neighbor who does chair repair. I'd probably have to employ both to get this done, so am still pondering...The carving is like nothing I have seen, and that is what intrigues me. I suspect I can get it for less, and may see it this weekend.

I know JC Penny has a Chris Madden line for towels. Do they also carry a furniture line? My guess is that it's probably made with some type of mystery wood and painted. I would offer $40 for it. People often pad the price of their item, expecting someone will make an offer. They may counter at $50.

I'm not into leather but I'd buy that myself. What a nice chair at a wonderful price. I find that there is a lot of nice furniture being sold inexpensively in that general area. I saw the Mahogany bow front china cabinet I want on Craigs for $500. I wanted to faint. The kicker is it's been on there for 2 weeks. Here, I'd pay $800 locally if I could find one and this one is only $500. I considered buying it and having it shipped, but the shipping is more than the item costs and I just hate spending my money on shipping costs. I feel like it's such a waste. I know that's nuts. I'm just going to wait till one shows up locally and it's bound to happen.

It's really a shame things like this happen. The nerve of Badescu. Just wow! Because I did watch that video, now I am getting ads for Badescu and I'm like, uh, no! I'm sorry that happened to your dd deegw. I'm glad she hadn't been using it long enough to suffer the effects that were mentioned in the above video. I'm shocked, but I really shouldn't be, nor should any of us since cosmetics are hardly regulated. My take-away from this is to stay with the tried and true as best as we can classifiy certain brands. And don't buy any of the cosmetic products that end up at Big Lots, TJ Maxx, Ross...places like that. Those are all 'go-backs' anyways and will have suffer long shelf lives and improper storage conditions. So far, I trust Clinique, Estee Lauder <these two are under the same ownership umbrella, Vanicream, Skinceuticals (a Loreal company), Cerave (I think I read Loreal now owns Cerave?), Cetaphil. There are other trustworthy companies of course, but I can't list them all here. And buying them direct from the company, or from Target or a large retailer, not even an A-zon purchase as some unscrupulous things happen on A-zon sometimes with counterfit or used products. pardon any spelling errors: I got a huge system update yesterday and now I have no spell check.
